Beating Trich Community Group
You mean that there is a name for IT? Im not weird? Trichotillomania, that big, long word that is the bane of our world. With knowledge and support of others we CAN break free and live without this disorder interfering with our lives. Lets keep this uplifting and supportive and give each other the encouragement the other needs to make it to that next day.

Hi, My name is Sam and I'm new to this group. I am 23 and have had trich since I was 12. Over the years I have tried many times to stop, however it's only this past year that I have started to research ways of stopping, and have been really determined to do it. I plan on doing so with a combination of understanding, will-power, exercise, trying the John Kender diet, and seeing a therapist. I love designing, illustrating, cooking, extreme sports, exercising, seeing live music and reading. I would love to provide others with encouragement, and maybe get some support when I fall.

I have a lot on my plate which is nothing new and I try to cope in many positive ways and do but I still have my moments. My kids more so my daughters talk to me about everything which I know it's cause of comfort and we are close.... however I really struggle with the venting about their dad which...

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

we're always here if you want to vent =]
What has worked for me is:
- I accepted trich is for life
- I realised that even though I want to pull, I don't NEED to. I have control of my actions.
- WILLPOWER!
- Small goals in front of mind, big goals at the back
- Daily support
Thanks Firante, yeah I'm up and down at the moment. I'm all over the place.. Just kinda sick of my life, working nights, therefore very minimal social life (though I'm fixing that), and working jobs I don't enjoy that much even though I have a degree in something I DO love! 11 weeks to go til I'm in Europe yaaaaaaaaay!
It sucks that you don't like your job.. Isn't it possible to work as a graphic designer fulltime?
You can do this!
Thanks Phoebe :) :) I hope it remains!
Thanks Mrs. Kolo. Still having a few close calls, too close for my liking... Eep. Gotta just keep thinking about my goals. I want to wear my hair out so badly and I want to swim in public so badly.
