With knowledge and support of others we CAN break free and live without this disorder interfering with our lives. Hi, My name is Sam and I'm new to this group. I am 23 and have had trich since I was 12. Over the years I have tried many times to stop, however it's only this past year that I have started to research ways of stopping, and have been really determined to do it. I plan on doing so with a combination of understanding, will-power, exercise, trying the John Kender diet, and seeing a therapist. I love designing, illustrating, cooking, extreme sports, exercising, seeing live music and reading. I would love to provide others with encouragement, and maybe get some support when I fall.

Thanks BKC! I'm reaaaaally excited about getting a hair cut! Think I'm going to go a bit shorter than I originally planned, like a bit below chin length when curly. Hm! I'll still have some rather short pieces though on top, but maybe they can be blended in.

That one is cute! It looks shorter in the back, so more of an angled bob and that might take off some of the weight so it won't frizz as much or get triangular like really curly hair sometimes does. Oooooh,this is so fun having hair to debate hairstyles for!!!!!!!

I know exactly how you feel!! The down side of that, is the movies are never as good as the book. Then you are disappointed when you finally do see the movie!!

I really love that haircut!! But I'm always scared that it won't look like the picture at all when I give it to the hairdresser. or when it does look like it, that I'll mess it up once I wash my hair myself :p

That Rihanna cut is adorable (although it definitely looks like she's wearing a wig there, so my first thought is WHERE CAN I BUY THAT WIG?) That "stacking" in the back of a bob is so cute with curly hair. I approve. And yes, it's an extrmely fun process. I can't wait until my hair gets long enough that I can search for cute pixie cut styles again.

And Lien, you can always ask the hairdresser to show you how to style it. They won't mind explaining what they're doing as they're doing it.
