Phoebe mine's crazy too, It's curlier on the bottom than on the top. Fine + curly hair has got to be one of the hardest types of hair to deal with. Damn frizzies. Or damn no volume. Or damn stupid shaped curls.

Yeah shaved heads look great on some. For me, I doubt it. My nose it too big. I mean, it's not huge, but it's not a button. I think you need a nice nose for a shaved head. HM.

I've heard that if you look good with all your hair pulled away from your face (and I know you wear your hair like that every day and look gorgeous!), then you'll look good with a short pixie cut. Not sure if it's the same with a shave, though. For some reason, I feel like my shaved head looks good when I have nice long eyelashes, but when I don't have lashes, it looks awful. Maybe it's just too un-feminine, or maybe it looks too cancer-y. For the record, my nose is not a button, either, and my ears stick out like no other-- they're not really big, they're just entirely perpendicular to my face. But I get so many compliments on my buzz cut when I have enough hair to show it. I definitely don't think you need to have a perfect little face or body to pull it off.

Anyway, I'm not saying you should shave your head, Sam, especially after you've worked so hard to achieve so many inches of lovely pull-free growth. But I DO think a shorter haircut, like a chin-length or shoulder-length bob, would look marvelous on you, and it would all be closer to the same length, so it'd be easier to get a good haircut. It's true that it would be harder to hide bald patches, but you're not going to have any bald patches. :)

And you are SO CLOSE to 200 days! Yaaaaaaaaaaaay for Sam being awesome!

Thanks for the compliment Emmy, aw. Hmm I'm thinking more and more about getting a fair bit chopped off. When it's dry and curly it's shoulder length, so it won't take much more being chopped off for it to be short. I will at least get it chopped off to my second longest length of hair, which is probably half way between my chin and my shoulders, a bit longer when straight. (I remember that layer of hair was about 4cm short May last year!) Thanks so much for your lovely post :)

you are doing so well Sam. Sure you won't start pulling, or if you relapse you will have the strength to get back here and stop again very quickly.

I like cutting my hair - as I feel every trim thickens it and improves the quality. once hair is healthy and growing well it grows so fast too. xx

When my trich is bad and my hair is long, I wear it in a pony tail EVERY DAY. So by the time my hair has filled in semi-decently, I am antsy to chop it all off. Unfortunately, the trich is harder for me to control with short hair, so I spend years desperately trying to cover up the trich spots while waiting for my hair to grow long again. But after 200 days, I think you can handle a shorter hairstyle. :)
