Hehe I know Granit, really feels like I just joined the group, it really has gone so fast. Yeah, I really have an urge to cut all my hair off, but I know that growing it out will be such a massive pain, ugh, no sure if it's worth it!
I like those ones too though xx Hehe you're cute. But I won't be able to have hair looking like any of those (except the short one) soon, my hair is still a mullet. I have a layer on top that reached my eyebrows, waiting patiently for that to grow out. I'm hoping that my stylist will be able to blend that layer in... Hm.

i'm sure a good hairstylist can make a great haircut, with a face like yours anything looks stunning!

I've chopped my hair off many times... and then it's never more than a few months before I want to grow it out. My hair probably isn't as curly as yours, but it definitely has a mind of its own, and shorter do's tend to require a lot of styling. (and that always brought out my trich). Growing out a short hair cut is a pain. So if you're waffling between a short do and a longer do, go with the longer one. You can always cut more off, but as we all know, you can't grow hair out quickly.

Working all weekend, yaaaaaaaaaay. But at least I have Sat and Sun nights off, most excellent. My best friend is coming to Sydney for a few weeks in about a month, very very excited about that. Haven't seen her in maybe a year.. I think a year and a half actually. She lives in the next state, only an hour and a half flight away.

Hmmm, it's midnight and I'm waiting for my boyfriend to finish work, I just got home. Really feel like pepsi.

Mrs Kolo, I'm going to have a hair cut a few weeks before I go away I think. So maybe 5 weeks? I kinda need for my front bits and top later to grow out a bit more, or I'd get the hair cut sooner. Yep I'm going to tell them I have trich, and tell them with a lot of effort I've been able to make it pull free for 7 months. I'll also tell them I haven't had a professional haircut in at least 10 years, so they better not eff it up hehe. I might actually see if I can bring some TLC info booklets with me to the salon. My boyfriend is coming with me. He's such a sweetie, he's excited about it too!

And on that note, I let him see me with my natural hair, wet, after a shower, for the FIRST time in our 3 year relationship. Omfg. He said I looked sexy. He's so GREAT!

Hmmmm 106 days pf. I"m going to a going away party tonight in Sydney, ack, can't be bothered with the whole getting there and getting back thing. Really annoying, the last train back to my boyfriend's house leaves Sydney at 12.18, bleh. So early! The next one is at 3.40am, also ew.

Bloody hell! I"m getting grilled by my father about not talking to my sister. He wrote me a message saying "your sister is not a bitch, she is a lovely girl!" And I wrote back, "what?" and then he wrote, "she said you're not talking to her", and I said, "she's not talking to me either. And I never called her that. And I don't mean to be rude but it has nothing to do with you." Then he wrote "excuse me" and nothing else. FAAAAAAARK. Stupid sister! What on earth has she been telling him? She dropped nasty words on me, all I have said to her after that is "well I"m sick of you too", and nothing since then. Sorry to offload this on you, but you're my interactive diary doncha know.

k well I told you that much, may as well tell you that I just got a message from my dad saying "Sorry. Please disregard previous messages. Your sister and I were joking about you and her not talking at the moment. I tried to share that joke with you but obviously failed miserably. My bad - Dad." I wrote back "Yeah.....bit of a fail. That's ok."

My dad's sense of humour is weeeeeird sometimes.

My dad loves to make people feel awkward when they come over, especially when it’s their first time at our home.. My best friend, who comes here for over 10 years now, still thinks my dad doesn’t like her. For example when she calls and my dad picks up the phone it goes like this:
My dad: “Hi” She: “Hi, it’s … calling. Is Lien there?” “yes” -Awkward silence- “Can I speak to her?” “yes” -Awkward silence again- “Could you give the phone to her please” “Oh yes of course”

Ha yeah I did :) haha that's funny. My dad is the same. He likes to make boys feel awkward especially. But my boyfriend made my dad fall in love with him hehe

Eeeeek, I'm so excited that your boyfriend's seen your hair now! Did you let him run his fingers all through it? :) I'm sure it looks gorgeous after a shower. It's funny that having trich, we have to work SO hard for something like that, yet most people just take it for granted. I'm excited about letting my boyfriend see my hair too-- he's seen my bald patches in a "here's how bad the damage is" kind of way, but I want to be just completely comfortable around him with no wig, no hat, not even a headband or anything.

And you're so brave, going into a salon and telling them about it! I've had haircuts with mild bald patches before, but I always just go with the "shut up and cut my hair" approach. I can't help thinking that people who cut hair have to have seen this before, since it's fairly common, but then it occurred to me that those of us with noticeable trich damage tend to avoid haircuts like the plague. Still, you'd think they could at least mention it in beauty school, as we tend to have very trich-specific hair issues (hair of all different lengths, white/kinky hairs where we've pulled, etc).

My dad has a weird sense of humor as well. Luckily, my boyfriend's sense of humor is strange in much the same way, so at least they absolutely adore each other. :)

The ones of you that let your bf.s/husbands see your hair and the trich damage are soooo brave. I have never dared to do that. Nor have I told any bf about it.
emmy, yes it's weird how we work hard and worry about things like that.
i worry much about going to work, meet me friends and family with a "new"hairstyle. ( I can't call what I have on my head now and have had for the last 20 years, a style at all!!)
