Thanks Luleee! Yep, my bandaids are on :) Pulled a few the past few days. I have a nice super thin almost bare patch on one side of my head. It's covered by a lot of hair, so only visible if I lift a big section of hair up. But still. Oh, em, gee, my hair hasn't had a patch like that in well over a year. I. MUST. START. TO. GIVE. A. SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!! Cos it effing matters.

yes to bandaids!! They help tremendously even if they are just a reminder. It helps when your hands have a mind of their own.

I have no clue what to say to help, so I'll agree with Phoebe to go back through your old posts to give you the strength to push this challenge. I really do wish there was a magic comb that massages our tresses, releases the urge to pull, and gives us rewards all right together.

Rings are a great reward idea! They're pretty, AND they'll serve as a reminder not to pull. I love it!

And YES, start to give a shit! Barriers and constant vigilance! I know you can do it, because you've done it before. :) Remember how happy you were when you finally got your haircut and you could finally wear your hair down? Well, keep it that way. Don't go back to the bun!

PS. my hair is still like that. Side damage that you have to lift up hair to see, but it's there. I feel your pain.

Oh thanks so much everyone :) You're truly beautiful. Well an "incident" happened on the weekend, I'll send the regular posters a private message about it.
