Beating Trich Community Group
You mean that there is a name for IT? Im not weird? Trichotillomania, that big, long word that is the bane of our world. With knowledge and support of others we CAN break free and live without this disorder interfering with our lives. Lets keep this uplifting and supportive and give each other the encouragement the other needs to make it to that next day.

Hi, My name is Sam and I'm new to this group. I am 23 and have had trich since I was 12. Over the years I have tried many times to stop, however it's only this past year that I have started to research ways of stopping, and have been really determined to do it. I plan on doing so with a combination of understanding, will-power, exercise, trying the John Kender diet, and seeing a therapist. I love designing, illustrating, cooking, extreme sports, exercising, seeing live music and reading. I would love to provide others with encouragement, and maybe get some support when I fall.

I have a lot on my plate which is nothing new and I try to cope in many positive ways and do but I still have my moments. My kids more so my daughters talk to me about everything which I know it's cause of comfort and we are close.... however I really struggle with the venting about their dad which...

Shame.
I am SO sorry for my absence. I've been feeling guilty about it and meaning to log in for over a month now surely... I have been VERY busy and have a lot on my plate but it's probably got something to do with my willingness to be pull free too. Probably.
Have definitely been puling quite a bit. My hair still looks good to others, and I still get compliments on it all the time! I still wear it out. I can see the damage though. It's not bad but I need to stop now. I've been wearing bandaids the past few days, but as soon as I take them off I pul. I feel like I don't have much control, even though I know I do.
The "situation" at home peaked in an almighty fashion, in a spectacular blaze. Things have calmed down a lot for me now. Ugh I'll have to write a little PM to you guys because these kind of details would really point out who I am should anyone I know read this. I guess now that I really care that much, but I'd rather avoid it.
Thanks so much for your love and support, you people really are the best.
I'm back.
