You mean that there is a name for IT? Im not weird? Trichotillomania, that big, long word that is the bane of our world. With knowledge and support of others we CAN break free and live without this disorder interfering with our lives. Lets keep this uplifting and supportive and give each other the encouragement the other needs to make it to that next day.
Hi, My name is Sam and I'm new to this group. I am 23 and have had trich since I was 12. Over the years I have tried many times to stop, however it's only this past year that I have started to research ways of stopping, and have been really determined to do it. I plan on doing so with a combination of understanding, will-power, exercise, trying the John Kender diet, and seeing a therapist. I love designing, illustrating, cooking, extreme sports, exercising, seeing live music and reading. I would love to provide others with encouragement, and maybe get some support when I fall.

Hello- I am new to the group

My therapist really knocked some sense into me last Friday about my spending. She said that there are needs and there are wants. She said that there is always going to be cheap stuff to buy, but do I need it? The answer is mostly "no". So today, I am taking back some things that I bought online at Kohl's, namely a 9 x 12 rug and a quilt for my bed. I also bought sheets that I don't need...

I'm 9 days pull free, and in 4 hrs I'll be 10 days pull free. Eek!
I'm 10 days pull free and on day 11. On Thursday I'll be 2 weeks pull free. I really want that haircut, my hair is starting to look mangey. I could just go and get it done but ughhh I don't want to see my very thin patches staring back at me in the mirror when they wet my hair to cut it. As it is, as soon as I get out of the shower I put a little cover up on before looking in the mirror, so I don't have to see any thin areas.
Anyway, must get to work, need to be productive today.
