Wow, that is big news! I would say congrats since I know it's been stressful, but I imagine that leaving might be bittersweet? It can be scary being without work, even if you do have the deal to tide you over. What's on tap for you next?

Thanks kauxfire - yes leaving was bittersweet - was sad to say goodbye to colleagues and kids I have worked with for over 2 years - but I woke up today feeling much better so it was 100% the right decision xx

Day 48! Almost at 50 days woohoo. The urge to pull is almost gone - it comes occasionally but it goes quickly. I must work on hands down though.

Beautiful day here - we went to a food festival yesterday - stuffed myself silly and drank LOTS of cider :) Was really chilled - lots of live music and tastings in the grounds of another castle! (me and my castles..)

Regrowth wise - I had a look in mirror this morning - I would say now that I don't have any bald patches :D some very thin still - but everywhere has at least a dusting of hair - a few whites (maybe 20%) of the worst areas but I dye my hair anyway as it is mousy brown (am going red atm). Also because I haven't pulled the hairs that were growing already now there are hairs on the side of my head that are about 2 inches long (which in all honesty 2 months ago they were all v short cos i was pulling as soon as they grew long enough to grip. I am lucky I actually have naturally thick hair so I can cover it by pulling it up. it is still early days but I am pleased with progress.

Hurray for you for leaving the stressful job, and saying goodbye to the people whose lives you enriched by being there!

pheobe - there are loads of castles here in england and wales (I live on the border) I'll try and post a pic of the one we went t recently :) where do u live - do u have old buildings? xxx

Which border do you live on? We were in England for three years and almost every weekend we went to different sites all over England. I know you enjoy the walks through the different castles and the views from the top-you can see a really long ways!

the shropshire/powys border mideye - we are near shrewsbury! Whereabouts did you live? We are really lucky where we live as there is loads to see and do.

If you get to stop in shrewsbury when you are over here then def do it - its only a small place you only need a day to explore :) I am hoping to go to the Lake District or Scotland over summer as I have never been that far north before as I am from the proper south - dorset and only moved up here 2 years ago and am just beginning to explore the north of my country (we went for a holiday to the peak district for the first time this year - also beautiful too).

I had a dream last night that I pulled - I woke up and was really pleased that it was only a dream (at least I hope it was).

Day 50! Hurray! We lived in Huntingdon, not far from Cambridge. We visited Scotland and it was beautiful to see the highlands. Good for you to see the peak district. You can do this!

I know the Cambridgeshire area - although have never lived there - have lived in dorset, southampton, london, surrey, oxford and now here (have gone from the bottom of country to middle!)

a brief moan - my scalp is soooo flaky - its like awful dandruff - why? why? I have been using medicated shampoo as well - I suppose if this is the price I have to pay for hair to grow then fine!

Sooooo nice to only have to hoover up the cats hair not my own now though!

Damn cat hair!! My boyfriend's mother has two cats and one dog and whenever I go over there I leave covered in fur. Perhaps it's the shampoo that's making your scalp flaky, prob drying it out.. Maybe rub a light type of oil into your scalp..?
