thank you - I still take it one day at a time when the urges come - they were there this morning but have gone now. the sun is shining and I have been planting new gladioli and freesias in my garden, my garden is like scrub land so very little grows - I have to use lots of pots and imagination!

DAY 60!!!!

Time really flies when you look back on it - and what a support you guys have been!!

the celebraion day didn't really work though as my hayfever as been so bad I can hardly see so I stayed in instead - we went out for a bit but I felt crappy :(

So at home we cooked a crab and had a nice puddin of strawberries and cream :)

Has it been bad for allergies over yoru way too mideye? Here the hot spring we have had has really triggered it - today it is soooo windy - I wanted to do some gardening but its so blowy - hoping it chills out this avvo so I can get some planting done!!

Made icecream this morning creme de caramel au buerre sel - basically salted caramel. Sam - can't rmember if yoru trip itinerary includes France, but if you go to Paris there is a wonderful icecream shop near the notre dame called glacier berthillion - well worth a visit - if not salted caramel icecream is popular all over france.

Do you guys have that flavour aywhere else? The closest USA thing I can compare it to is that saltwater taffy :)

My itinerary does not include France at the moment, but we have people to stay with in Paris so who knows!

Uh my grammar is horrendous.

I like Paris a lot - but its soo busy and so much to see. We are hoping to get to paris for a long weekend around february - but might not happen as we are supposed to be saving for sri lanka!!

I love France - especially the south - cities like bordeaux, la rochelle etc x

I do want to visit the south.... I'd love to spend a few weeks there, not a few days, so that's why it might not be on the cards for this trip. Sri lanka, wow! How long are you going for?

yeah you do need ages to visit france as its so massive. Last autumn we drove from our house (set out in howling winds and rains at 3am) down to dover (so about 5 hours) got te ferry to calais then drove to a bed and breakfast near angers....that - we arrived at 6pm the next day and had been travelling all that time!!! The next day headed down to saint emilion which took another 6 hours....! Madness but great holiday. In october this year we are staying near la rochelle - can't wait :)

Am going to Sri Lanka after spending 4 weeks volunteering in the maldives - hoping to meet up with y hubbie in sri lanka and spendi a week or two chilling there before flying home together. need to get saving though - and also saving for my flight to maldives ick!!!
