You mean that there is a name for IT? Im not weird? Trichotillomania, that big, long word that is the bane of our world. With knowledge and support of others we CAN break free and live without this disorder interfering with our lives. Lets keep this uplifting and supportive and give each other the encouragement the other needs to make it to that next day.

As confidentic puts it, try an oil on your scalp, and cut back on the medicated shampoo a little bit.
Good for you to only have the cat hairs to hoover up!
You're doing great! Stay strong!
Let the worry go away and land on something else.
You are doing good today, so take it one day at a time.
You are staying strong today!

Hands down, Hair growing in, Hands down, Hair looks wonderful, Hands down!
You can do this!
i think I scared myself watching a doc on trich then spending too long on the internet researching it - I just felt sick to my stomch and really horrified that I have done so much damage to myself!
That is the hardest part about trich, is when we learn the damage that is done.
Hang in there, you needed to learn what you did, as you were curious, so hurray for you!
Congratulations on 51 days!
xx You're doing great, just take it one day at a time. I tell myself that whenever I have a freak out :)
am posting some pics from this morning of myself - try to keep of record of improvements
I like your photos.
I hope one of the others is able to give you ideas for a hairpiece, if it will make you feel more confident in an interview, I say, go for it!
Practice wearing it, moving around in it, being expressive with hand and body movements, and give your self time to adjust having it as an accessory.
Anxiety is just the "fight or flight" chemical changes that happen when we experience either positive or negative stress, and it is normal. When it gets a little overwhelming, make certain you keep hydrated. Mild dehydration will add to the fun. Find something to make you laugh, even if you end up laughing so hard you cry. That will give you the relief that comes from the overload of adrenaline (the usual cause, however, not the only one, as I found out recently).
Tapping your toe will help you distract the anxiety, too.
Hope this helps!
Of course you might not be worried about what I just mentioned.. and I'm just talking absolute shite!
