BKC - I also adore Italy - would be a hard choice between south of france and italy for retirement. I want to apply for teaching jobs in France in about 2 years - they pay quite well (for teaching posts) and I'd love some adventure!

argh am soooo annoyed - wsa just filling in a job app and I was playing with my hair when one came out! ARGH hands DOWN! I didn't tug it but it still only came out cos my hand was there!!!!!!!

Bummer. Don't go too hard on yourself, yes the habit is still there but that's normal. It will probably take longer than a few months to master redirecting your hand-hair thing. BUT, you didn't pull and that's awesome. And you didn't get wrapped into a frenzy after seeing the one hair come out.

France vs Italy would be a tough choice. Probably I'd have to go Italy since my french is horrendous. Congrats to your hubby on getting published!

Ugh that happened to me about a month into my pf, just think of it as a wake-up call. Hands down/barriers when working.

its only one hair! think of how many others are there! in a way, its kinda a good thing because now you can say you resisted the temptation- its kinda like a test run, know what i mean?

yeh I have to work superhard at keeping my hand away from a certain area - I think the hairs are finally growing, but they are fragile and break easily so i have to have to keep my hand away as when I play they can just break or snap or just come out.

Just woke up - gonna watch the apprentice and do some more job apps - might have another snooze though as had nightmares and slept badly :(

I'd pick Italy. I was an art history major. The thought of being surrounded by all that fabulous architecture and paintings. And Italian food isn't half bad either, lol. But really, I'll retire any place where I can be up in the mountains, in peace and quiet, and be far away from the rest of the world.

At my work, we posted a job opening that was only up for 4 days. Over 600 people applied. People with gobs of experience are applying to the entry level jobs, they're just trying to find *something*. It makes it hard for new graduates, career changers (like my hubby), or anyone else to get their foot in the door. Good luck!

Ugh yes I hate that. That's why cold calling is always my preferred method.. Applying for jobs which aren't advertised. Most jobs aren't advertised through traditional means anyway, well at least design jobs in Australia. Not looking forward to the search for full time work myself at the end of this year/beginning of next.
