Status: Some days are ok. I still miss my Don but i am truly trying to get ahead of this grief and make Don proud!
About Me
A widow after 28-1/2 years of marriage, my first marriage too. My husband Don beat small cell lung cancer in 2003-2004. Odds are a mere 5% who make it. He still dealt with multiple problems during and after the lung cancer which also spread to his brain. In 2006 we renewed our Wedding Vows at 20 years. Then in 2013 he was diagnosed again with a different form of lung cancer. This time he didn\'t make it. A man full of talent, confident, funny and witty, logical and courteous, a gentleman and retired Army. Worked for 25 years with horses during and after military. He was so very good and had an exceptional talent with young colts which is the hardest yet most important part of a horses life and most dangerous for the trainer. He also welded, built metal buildings etc. I miss my multi-talented husband. He fixed everything here. Now things are happening and I have to figure out how to handle things. The love of my life, my hero. I will miss him now and always. I miss my husband...I am heartbroken.
