  Hi All,Deb here. I lost my boyfriend Bill a year ago this past Saturday, October 14, 2017 to colon cancer that had spread. He fought for 4 long years but the cancer was too aggressive. I can't quite believe that one year has passed already.  It is incredible that time can go by that fast. I still miss him every day and think about him all the time.   I lost my loved one in October of last year. He died of colon cancer after a 4 year struggle. I keep remembering various stages of his illness. They just pop into my head mostly when I am driving to and from work. Is this normal? I try not to dwell on it and I don't, mostly on a day to day basis I am fine. Of course I still cry, but I get over it more quickly now.

  A girlfriend of mine recently told me she was seeing a therapist to cope with the sudden loss of a life long friend of hers who died suddenly at the age of 46. SHe suggested that maybe that would help me as well. I am no stranger to therapy and have been in and out for many years thruout my lifetime. I have not been in several years. And although I have no objections to therapy,(it helped me tremendously), I have reservations on weather or not I really need to go. You can find my posts here but...

  Even tho I was not married, or even still dating my ex boyfriend, we had been together for 10 years and he broke up with me because of his illness. He had colon cancer, but he almost died from a ruptured colon after his reversal surgery, he was septic and in intensive care for 3 weeks. And then in the hospital for 5 months.
