Liars Anonymous Community Group
A support group to provide those with a compulsive addiction to lie a place to share hope, strength and courage with others like them; solve our common problem and help others with a compulsion to lie. We aren't alone!
I think my fiancee is coming around and believes that I am serious about changing this time. She, and her daughter, are the driving motivators when things get tough. I want to change for myself but I can't imagine my life without her in it and when I think of them it gives me strength. My lies already cost me a marriage a few years back, I have finally found someone who loves me even more and I don't want to lose her also.
I hope everyone has a great lie free day!!!
Happy lie free Friday to all and a special thanks to Larry for leading last evening's online meeting - well done my friend!
Your relationship with another is just that, it is NOT an encounter group.
You do NOT have to tell your life history until there is trust which is built incrementally.
Good judgement, a careful sense of timing, courage and prudence are the qualities one needs when determining if or when to disclose your lying or to make amends.
Remember this is not about making yourself feel better by proclaiming you've found the light and are no longer a liar - this is about not causing harm to others.
I haven't lied today, but I don't lie every day and I definitely lied yesterday. My wife and i are in conflict.
