Happy Saturday. I have decided to see a therapist, and my GF agreed to go with me. So it makes me happy. I didn't want to ever lose her. I'm giving her as much space as I can. But it's hard not to tell her I love her even though her walls are up. I am relearning confidence though through this process.
It's been a great day though so far! Hope everyone else's is.

Greetings, I am Eric, I am a liar and it's been 16 days since I last lied, perpetuated one of my lies, obscured the truth, or any number of other related behaviors that I have habitually exhibited over the last thirty years. It feels good. It's the second time in two months that I've crossed the two week mark, I don't think I've done more than two weeks since adolescence or before.

Congratulations on the steps you are taking J467, I have found in these last two months that I need to re-affirm my commitment to honesty every day. If I stop thinking about it I tend to slip in to my old, easy patterns. (I mean it's easy to tell lies, not that lying makes my life easier).

Thank you all for your support and congratulations to every one who made a first, second or thirtieth step towards leading an honest life today!

Good work J and Eric - keep up the good work. My wife and I attended a couples recovery group yesterday - very loving and understanding meeting - they even have a couples step program - good experience.

BTR - that sounds fantastic. I just got back from a Men's retreat on Mt Hood with a group from my church. It was nice to hang out with some guys and get to know them better. I felt accepted and cared about. Stayed honest all weekend. It is so wonderful to tell the truth and let people see me for who I am. Feels freeing. Looking forward to going back to work tomorrow. Things have been good there recently. I got reassigned to a new role that I really like and look forward to. It has been awhile since I have been energized about work so it is nice to have that feeling back. Also as a way of catch-up, I had a great day on Wed with one of my sons - going to an auto salvage yard and looking for pieces to an old car he is restoring at work. It brought back a lot of good memories from times in the past when he and I would look for parts from the salvage yard to fix his Jeep.

Iswan - I'm very happy for you - remember each day is a new opportunity for each of us to be honest - isn't interesting how honesty sets each one of US free? Yes we have a lot of damage to correct and at times it may seem insurmountable, but we are all making progress - sometimes small gains and sometimes breakthroughs like Iswan - overall the trajectory is up.

Good Job Eric. I'm about at 9 days now, and have not told a lie. It's liberating and the same time sobering. Should have never started in the first place. Hope all had a great Monday.

Have a great lie free Thursday everyone. I'm feeling better about myself, even though my personal life is not going great, I'm comforted by the strength I have awakened in myself.

Three weeks with no lies! Good work J! My Uncle (now deceased) once said to me, life is really hard, then it gets easier, then sometimes it gets harder again. It was not helpful advice to me at the time, but I always think about that conversation when things feel like they're falling apart. I think to myself, I guess this is one of those times when life gets harder again. Stick with it everyone!

Hi I'm Jen and I'm a liar. I made it just over a year without lying and recently slipped. My partner has caught my omission (now 3 months old) and I'm waiting for her to wake up to explain why I didn't tell her in the first place. My stomach is in knots.
