Lindsay: you aren't starting over, you are continuing the struggle.
I'm newish here also, day 10 for me.

As someone who lying has been a fundamental flaw and caused undue harm already, I must have a zero tolerance level for lying. I will either need to find an alternative way to make amends or realize I may never be able to make amends, because even one lie creates a slippery slope.
'Being real, rather than seeming to be, is something I have learned in my recovery. When all the lies came tumbling down, I was forced to face the real me. I would have to learn to be who I really was, rather than to seem to be someone I am not. I connected with my Higher Power who gave me the strength to live one day at a time without lies. Now in recovery I no longer have to fake being happy and free - I really am happy and free.'

I honestly do wish you all the very best, maybe I will be back in a year or so. I might need to head back to therapy/counselling.
best of love and respect to everyone in this group, as much as it seemed otherwise you helped a lot, now it's time to be true to myself.
Tomorrow will be a new day one. Damn, I thought I was going to get to two weeks.
Something else I've learned is that this is a process and when we trip and stumble, it's about getting back up.
