I have been lie free since I had joined this site. I have less stress from not having to worry about a lie I just told. So telling the truth, no matter the upset or pain caused. Integrity will always rank higher.

My first week on this site and its been a blessing! I am a liar and I have to beat this Addiction or it will take my life.

Hope everyone had a great weekend...I and the gf split up. Really sucks because I really loved her a lot. I guess my lying from early in our relationship took a toll. So this is how it ended. Good thing is that I'm going to keep going to the therapist. She identified some probable issues in my childhood that maybe the cause.

Keep working the program - it works, but only if you work it - stay the course. It was a grand lie-free weekend.

It was a good weekend for me as well. Beautiful weather, got to spend time with my son and still lie free.

Tomorrow I have a big presentation to the the higher ups about a program I am working on and I realize that it is a situation that may be easy to lie in - i.e. when they start asking me questions after my presentation. In the past if I did not know the answer I might have made one up just so didn't have to say "I don't know", or if they asked me if I had thought of xyz I might have said yes in the past just so I didn't look stupid for not thinking of it. Hopefully being hyper aware of the potential opportunities for me to lie will keep me alert to it so I can avoid doing it tomorrow.

Well I made it through the presentation and the day without lying. I found myself one time starting to stretch the truth but caught it and reversed it. phew! Looking forward to another lie free day tomorrow :-)

Good for you Iswan!! Feels good doesn't it! I am not afraid to tell people what there expectations of me are anymore...take it or leave it I figure.

It's Thursday - today marks the 165th day of being lie free - that doesn't mean I've been perfect, but it does mean when I caught myself in a lie (which are becoming fewer and further apart and much less significant) I immediately correct the BS - progress not perfection, although I do strive for perfection, it was trying to be perfect in the first place that lead to my compulsive lying - how ironic is that?

Wow! borntorun! Thats awesome! and i cannot wait to be able to say thats with conviction! Its been two weeks since i started working on myself and been doing therapy and meditation and practicing being in the moment and mindfulness and doing self hypnosis mp3's, i have no way other than up in this 43 years of lies. 2 weeks ago all i wanted to do was die and rid the world of my lying self, now i have hope and after reading Billi Caine 10 step kit on lying addiction, i have seen a new light! and Im excited to to bring integrity and self esteem and honesty finally into my life, i am dreading the day i come clen to all i have hurt but i need to be reborn, you all are an inspiration to become great as a human being and live an honest and happy life. So much love!

Went to my therapist last night. We talked of my break up with my gf. But also the things I found my gf was lying about. So I am moving on. Realizing that when I so decide to date again, I will be honest, even if it means the person walks away, because they weren't worth it to begin with.
