Hi, just checking in. Another day without lies. I have been going to a 12 step meeting near me and have found a sponsor. I think this will be a great step in the recovery process and hopefully be the catalyst I need to have sustained improvement.

This is Eric, day three without lying. Things are rocky at home, but going well at work which helps.

Pabs good work re: the 12 step meeting and a sponsor - both are good additional tools to assist you in becoming lie free. Yesterday was a good day and I continue to be lie free, not always with diplomacy, which I need to work on, but lie free. Happy lie-free Thursday to all

Hi I'm brian, just checking in for my Thursday, today is a rough day already, but today is the first day of being lie free.

just checking in today. Life has been hard but good. Feels great to be lie-free and honest. Wish it hadn't taken me 50 some years to get to this point of honesty but I'm glad I am here now. I don't want to get over-confident so I continue to ask help from my higher power for strength and conviction to stay the honest course.

Whoops! I just looked at a calendar, four days without lying. That doesn't count right :).

Eric, every day counts, I do not ask for more than to be lie free for the next 24 hours. Speaking of which, the last 24 hours were good ones so that's another day for me as well.

I'm in school now but once it gets out, I'm looking forward to participating in the online meeting.

Hi my name is Larry and I have a problem with lying. I slipped yesterday and minimized how much I was planning to eat for lunch because I was embarrassed about it. I said to my friend that I had a sandwich for lunch when in fact I had 2 sandwiches for lunch. As I walked away from him I thought about turning around and correcting the partial truth (lie) but I thought "hey - I did actually have a sandwich for lunch so what's the harm in not saying I had two?" I should have listened to my conscience when it convicted me but I ignored it. I know this may seem trivial to many of you but I could not feel good about myself that night as I prayed to my higher power about my day so I corrected it by contacting my friend and told him the truth before going to sleep last night. I feel good about coming clean to my friend but I feel awful for lying through omission - especially over something so STUPID. But that is how it starts so now I have had to reset my lie-free counter over again. I had managed to string together 38 lie-free days in a row - previous to yesterday, so I know there is hope. At least the time in between lies is getting longer and the lies themselves are getting smaller (if there is such a thing as a small lie). Being 100% truthful in everything is a slow but steady process. Here I go again starting over today at day one. :-) It is a beautiful day today!

Thanks for sharing Larry, 38 days is a long time. I've never counted before, but I'd be very surprised if I'd gone more than two weeks since I was a very young child. You should be proud of your accomplishment and buoyed by the fact that you acknowledged the lie. You came clean without external pressure. That is no small thing for folks with our particular habit. Btw I'm on day six without lies and feeling pretty OK about it. That said I haven't been confronted with anything stressful or embarrassing in the last week, we'll see how I do when it gets tougher to be honest.
