Liars Anonymous Community Group
A support group to provide those with a compulsive addiction to lie a place to share hope, strength and courage with others like them; solve our common problem and help others with a compulsion to lie. We aren't alone!
Eric
Hope all of you had a great day too.
J467 - couldn't agree more with you. The pain of telling the truth now is NEVER as great as the pain of telling the truth (or having it found out) later after you have lied about it.
Hang in there everyone and enjoy Memorial Day tomorrow.
any advice. looking for help and answers. today is day 1 for me, No lies today!
It is not going to be easy to break years of lying and you may lose people or things you cherish, but then we make our own bed and have to accept the consequences of our actions - BUT honesty has its own rewards which may not seem obvious at first.
Hang in there and take it one moment at a time.
thanks all for kind wishes
I have for 2 days gone to AA meetings and have been substituting the drinking with lying.
anyone else have tried this concept. While I do not have a substance problem, I have an addiction
Larry, I hope someone joined the meeting - Thursdays are becoming difficult for me, sorry to have missed out.
All is pretty good on this end. I feel myself slipping after some crappy days at work - no lies, just falling into a precarious place, which I have the power and the will to correct - for starters posting here and getting current; then meditation; and step work - it's all good, if I make it good.
Doing good today. Day 41 for me. Be strong everyone and stay the course.
Welcome David - keep coming back. I found in my first 90 days of breaking the habit of lying that coming here and posting everyday, whether someone else posted or not was extremely helpful - maybe one of the most helpful tools in my recovery - I'm now workng on day 160 and attribute much of my good fortune to this site and great people like Iswan, sailor, pab and others.
