Liars Anonymous Community Group
A support group to provide those with a compulsive addiction to lie a place to share hope, strength and courage with others like them; solve our common problem and help others with a compulsion to lie. We aren't alone!
Tonie I look forward to making this Trek with you - I believe there is strength in numbers. We can beat this habit.
Mitzi
Mitzi it has been wonderful to meet some one with similar traits, I do definitely believe in strength in numbers.
I told my partner everything today, he has accepted me again we are by no means back on track but I do think things will be made easier by having someone to make this journey with.
I have started keeping a diary, I wrote in it for 3 hours last night I read it back to myself this morning and made notes. It is helping me delve into my inner issues, of low self esteem and confidence, I have found it is really helping me. Have you tried it?
I am 2 days without a lie now and going strong thank you for your support we can do it!

Today marks the end of day 4 for me. I hope this streak breaks my personal best of 18. Tonie and Mitzi, progress is measured in very small steps. At the beginning every minute is a challenge, but slowly, ever so slowly, you will start to make the progress you strive to make. Setbacks will happen (I think my picture is next to "setback" in the dictionary) but you have to learn from them. Just stay strong everyone....
Well I have made it a day and doing well so far today. Tonie, I'm so glad that your partner is willing to take the trek with you. My partner says I need to fix it but he is not going anywhere - yet...
I have started a journal here that I have set so no one can view - but I have not written in it since the frist day. I guess you are right there is a reason why our behaviour is such as it is - I have just never really thought of the root cause. My partner thinks it started in a loveless marriage - but truth be told it started way before that - maybe since my youngest sister was born. I will make a habit to try and write in the journal here every day - I'm sure it can't hurt Tonie.
Thank-you for the encouragement - you are right together we can do this.
Mitzi
Day 5 has come and gone, successfully. No lies, no urges to lie. On to the beginning of day 6. Mitzi and Tonie, realizing the problem and seeking help is a fantastic step. Having support is important. Mitzi, what held me together during my darkest period was the fact that my partner and I still had a dialog going. As long as there is communication there is hope.
Stay strong everyone...
I'm mostly through day 7. So far so good.
Mitzi, I really dont know what to tell you. These things are going to happen. But maybe, as part of your atonement process, you have to be hyper sensitive to those around you and their feelings.. I'd love to know what others in the group think...
Stay strong everyone...

Today, day 9, is almost over. So far so good. Greg, I've been there. Not as successful as you yet, but constant vigilance is so important. I don't think we are ever "fixed". We always have to be examining ourselves.
Stay strong everyone...
Good morning all. Today marks the start of day 12 for me. Hopefully I'll get through it successfully. I'm a little disappointed that no one has posted here since my last post on the 14th. I hope the reason is that everyone was really busy over the weekend, not lying!!! Anyway, we all must remained focused if we have any hope of battling our problems. And we need each other's support. Hope to hear from all of you out there in the coming days.
Stay strong everyone...
