I agree about the phone transparency. If you have nothing to hide, then there's nothing to hide.
I didn't use to think that way. I thought that privacy was important, even in a relationship. But I got that wrong. Privacy, and trying to keep privacy in your relationship, breeds a nice place to be dishonest.
What I should have known was the difference between private and personal. And personal things you should be able to share with your spouse/partner.
It's tough right now because my wife has access to my phone 24/7, any time she wants. And she can ask questions about anything. And she does. And I can't help but get defensive when it goes on too long. And then when I get defensive, it appears to her that I'm nervous she'll find something I don't want her to find, which is no longer the case. So she looks and looks and looks, and questions and questions, and in the end puts it down. I just have to learn to be patient in those times because I have nothing to hide.
Thank you everyone for your support this far, I have been honest and open for a month now and I don't know if I could have done it alone. It has really helped to know I'm not the only person struggling, and it has made me stronger. I'm Lucy, and I'm a liar, but I've been honest for four weeks now.
Having a rough time right now, but being honest in the face of adversity. It's hard because it is in my nature to get myself out of adversity as quickly as possible. But staying true, it passes. Till it happens again. But you know that you've survived it once before, and it becomes a little easier.
It's like walking against a really strong wind. Your goal is to get though it because your home is in front of you, so you have to walk through it no matter how hard. Because you only want to get home. And only home. If you give into the wind, who knows where you end up.
So, keep moving forward all. Fight.
I have this positive attitude that I am sticking with and it is helping me a lot.. Everything is becoming more meaningful and holds weight in my life... I wish I could have discovered my flaws years ago...
Today my body is kind of restless because I have thrown my sleep schedule off. However, other than that I'm just pushing threw with my journey.
All is well be safe and stay strong.
As fas as the convos about cell phones l have been through that and used to hide it as well...not any more. Password is on when out but off when l am with her...nothing else to hide people...that part of lying is what got us here in the first place. #KeepPounding
