Lying I am trying to control the outcome and not admit I am powerless. For me lying is no different than drinking
This is my daily check in. I learned in church to higher my standards within myself, work, my relationship, and to remain teachable. My boyfriend is the best an most supportive man I have come to known. We have been through a lot but if I keep pushing forward we will not be back in that spot again.
I'm getting to know myself more and love myself.
We all can make it, it just takes faith. Good luck to you all in your own personal journeys.
Faced some hiccups this weekend...I didn't lie but I didn't act trustworthy. My compulsion to look at my husband's phone and contacts, overruled my logical thinking brain. I feel ashamed and terrible about it, especially because I promised I wouldn't look. Well being left in limbo on the status of our relationship...I made some poor decisions. I did it a while ago, and he suspected I had, so he asked me. At the very least I didn't lie when asked, so I guess that's an improvement, but in his eyes I am still untrustworthy, and I have to agree he's right.
Not sure where things are at. Trying to not even worry about it and only worrying about me and my journey.
Welcome David and Ashley. You're in a great spot for support on this journey. Stay positive, even when it feels impossible.
The truth is really the way to go I have been feeling sooooo much better since I started telling the truth and going to church.
We have been having great and meaningful conversations and have been spending a lot of time together to work pass the events that happened and the lying.
1Cor - you shouldn't have to feel bad about looking at the phone because it shouldn't be an issue. It is only an issue when something is being hidden. I used to hide my phone all the time and we all know where that ended. But every since I changed my number and got rid of everything that was causing me to feel like I needed to lie, I give my boyfriend my phone with no problem I don't feel like someone I don't want him to know about may call or text. Because they won't. Anyone I talk to on the regular would be family besides him. And his phone is always out.
Don't let anyone stop your progress or your show.
