I like reading your posts because they are soooo much like my life right now. Me and my boyfriend will be taking on new jobs soon and the schedules will be soo off it will be crazy. But I am slowly gaining him back to me. We have went out a few times since and really had fun I can see in his eyes that he is trying and I try and make sure I'm the person I want and need to be everyday.
Yesterday was my 24th birthday and it was fun we went to this new restaurant that we have never been to and had fun we laughed and enjoyed the weather and the time together. It was the best birthday I had since I been in Georgia.
But this is my daily check in. Today is the day I have been waiting for I started with an inward change of myself then I changed my phone number I changed my car and I changed my hair style. I changed to positive thinking and today May 1st, 2016 I make an outward statement of my change I will be baptized the day after my birthday. For me this is to represent letting go of all the old things I used to do an push forward with the new me.

With that being said, my name is Jason and i'm a liar. I have not told a lie in 3 hours.
My name is Brittany and I am a recovering liar. I have not been keeping track of the days that I have not been lying but it has been awhile. I have changed my attitude towards life since I stopped lying and have not been more positive about life than I am now. Things a looking up.
You will do great just keep getting on here look at different links talk to different people read their stories and you will slowly find yourself and the root of lying. Just to help you It will not be something simple like afraid of rejection or people not liking you. Its childhood deep so you have to dig an ask the right questions. Also hold your self accountable for all your actions and what you say and HOW you say it because when your known to be a liar how you say things can get you in trouble too.
Separation does help it may seem like it does not but it kind of does I know it did for me. My boyfriend and I never stayed with each other yet but for someone to be lied to so much just seeing you everyday can make her think of things you lied about. Since my boyfriend an I don't stay together it is a little bit easier for him to do things in his day and me call and talk about things that will slowly replace the thought of what I did. But my story is kind of worse than a lot of people on here I let things get way to put of control and cheated so one of the things he hated to see was my car because he knew that at one point in time I had another guy in it. And since we I want to be with him and move forward and I don't think of just my own thoughts and feelings any more I traded in my car because I want him to be happy when he see me not see the past every time I come over.
As far as the die like Jesus statement she is right the old you has to die and everyone around you and yourself will notice when it happen. It will seem like it is your lowest point and you will change for you and no one else and the changes you make will show for themselves you won't have to say a word because it will be the new you.
Things have been really good and lying is becoming more and more uncomfortable to do. Even when my brain is trying to get me to lie the truth comes out. I'm proud of my steps in my journey so far and I'm excited about the future.
I wish I had the answers for her.
