Hi, my name is Garrett. I am liar and very capable of manipulating a situation to my favor. I have been more seriously battling this for 8 months and have made some but little progress.

Today marks a whole week without lying and I feel incredible, I feel happier, less stressed all the time. I've taken up exercising as I read that it is great for anxiety and every morning I start the day off with thinking about all the things I am grateful for or that I could be grateful for. My relationships have been improving continuously, it was a little difficult the first few days as I had to tell the truth to people that I had spent years lying to, but I wouldn't change it for the world now. I'm trying to go 6 months without a single lie.

Daysees the effort136 Good morning all and happy Friday! Been cat hing up on some of the posts and the theme l see is HOPE. No lies told but tests come everyday. When you TRULY want to change your life God will back you up! A few days ago (and get used to this because it will happen) my lady and l were driving and she told me again that while she sees my effort there are days that she is still angry and she still has trust issues with me. She and her line dance girlfriends left for an event out of state yesterday for the weekend. She feels that the last two years were a waste because she gave her all and because of my lies l didn't. She stated she could have cheated on me...but made the decision not to. She had cheated in the past (not with me) so she has experience. Trust a lot of what she said was hard to hear....the cold hard truth usually is. She left town but she is worried about what l will do while she is gone-and even named the person she thought l would sleep with. Pain is pain folks. BUT after she shared all of that....she told me she still loves me...sees my effort, and apologized for her coldness towards me. As l said before my 55th birthday was 6/14 and it was quiet...and l felt l deserved nothing...THIS year. I saw, someone write that they exercise to keep busy to keep from lying. Do what you must to be true to yourself. Still find a way to encourage yourself and others...and most of all...KEEP POUNDING!!!

My name is Chrissy and I'm a liar. This is my first day in as long as I can remember where I did not tell a lie.

Yesterday, I had an almost perfect day and ruined it at the very end. I lied about the reason that I put off calling my boyfriend...I told him I watched only one episode of a TV show, and I watched two. We got into a stupid argument and I crumbled the trust I had earned with him.

My boyfriend and I are currently separated for my lying, and I am desperately trying to rebuild trust.

Not lying is a daily struggle, but honesty is needed to save my relationship with my boyfriend.

I have been trying to post around 8pm every day. Today is the 5th day in a row that I have not lied. Trying to stay accountable...

My name is Chrissy and I am a liar. I have not lied for 7 days. Today I broke my first promise in 7 days (did not manage my time well, causing me to not complete something that I promised to complete). I am upset and myself and not proud.

Worse than breaking the promise, I tried to manipulate the truth to make it sound like I put more effort in than I did. My boyfriend pointed this fact out to me. I need to realize that making excuses and telling half-truths is not honest. I need to try to not break promises in the first place by not over- promising...but I more importantly need to not make excuses and try to manipulate my way of just telling the truth. I still have a long way to go but I am trying.

I lied because I was worried about getting into trouble for spending money which I shouldn't have really spent, and am going to focus on reducing the anxiety I feel in these and other situations.
