Logan61... congrats on Day14. Same situation for me. Being honest, but being questioned all the time and not being trusted that I'm telling the truth (although warranted) is really frustrating... something that I feel as though I'm not allowed to feel. Even the anger... when I'm angry, especially at myself, that emotion bubbles to the surface pretty quickly, and I get the, "Why are you so angry? You're the one who did this." To which I have no reply, because, well, she's right. I did do this. So I guess I have no right to be angry either?
I've completely learned my lesson about lying, but I can't convey that in words to my wife. I can only show her... but in her anger, disappointment and complete heartbreak, she's not very receptive.
Can't blame her. Like Logan said... lies and, really the reasons why you lied and the sh*t you were trying to hide with those lies, really do crash and burn your life... and the lives you touch. I'm not confident that our relationship will ever be the same, and I'm worried that she's just biding time till someone else catches her heart.
Congrats to all. Keep on with the honesty.
I'm John, and I'm a liar.
While I am not married to my lady and we don't live together (you might as well say as I'm there a few days a week) we have been together two years and she has been extremely good to me...and I continue to say that as long as there is communication there's hope and there's a chance. The reception is really up to her...and she has said that normally she would cut and run with others because of the hurt but for reasons she cannot fathom she didn't do that with me...I son;t want what we had, I want BETTER than what we had...and this beginning road to healing is going to be a long long one..and in the end there is still no guarantee that there will be a relationship between us when it's all said and done...and (heavy breath) if that is what her ultimate decision will be I will have to live with the idea that I screwed up the best thing I have ever had...
To everyone...keep it up - pray, find solace, answer questions, find a HEALTHY outlet for the anger, and keep pounding...
