Day 60!!! Checking in.

Just checking in. Haven't had much to say lately. Just reading & posting in my journal. Things are going good for me. Get at me if any of you want to talk. :)

Checking in Day 16. My wife is starting(hopefully) to believe that trust is possible again between us. It will be a long road but one she has said she wants to take. I take each day as a gift even though the days are really hard when all I want to do is reach out to her. T he distance gets less and less every day.
It is worth it to find peace in truth. The benefits far outlay the fear of trying.

Hello my name is Brittany and I am a liar. I'm starting the steps to being honest today.

therapy was great, it was a great session of learning what trust is and where it actually comes from, i think ot spoke volumes about what and how my wife has been feeling. Another day forward in rebuilding our lives together.

Good day all Day 39...and things are looking good...living in truth is becoming easier day by day...and each day I feel a little strength in confronting things that I normally would have shied away from. My lady is beginning to share a little more every day and her laugh has begun to return. She revisited the issue on Saturday night and her being uncomfortable about it...and while she wanted the person not to call me again at such a late hour-she insisted that I don't contact her and tell her such. So what did I do, I called the person and respectfully asked her not to call after 10 pm...the person's response was "Well I didn't know that you weren't home." My response was that it doesn't matter - we have a past history and maybe at one time that may have been ok but NOW that makes my present uncomfortable so if you wish to contact me please do so at a respectable time...to which she agreed, I might say begrudgingly. Here's the lesson from this, not everyone will want to believe in your change of life...and for that you cannot help because you know the path you want to take. Continue on your path, it will be challenging at times - something that you want usually is! In the words of the late comedian Bernie Mac from a clip from "House Party" - BE yourself! Good Morning, This is my daily check in... My name is Brittany and I am a liar... I am doing good so far for today... This is Day 1

Day 4 and 5 were lie free and were nice days. Last night we celebrated my mother in laws last round of chemo and it was a wonderful night. Some hard conversations have occurred with my husband and what I have found is he has a lot of his own issues that he needs to address. Some of those may be my fault, some may not, I will support him, even though he can't support me right now. I did see a quote that spoke volumes to me

"If you love someone, you love them with their scars, their sadness and their flaws."

I try to love my husband no matter what...maybe one day he can feel the same, but if not that is his choice, his loss, his regret, not mine. God has the perfect plan for me, and I am learning to accept that plan may be different than what I thought it would be.
