Continue to focus on self growth. Focusing on being the real me. This helps alleviate any need to stray from the truth. Hope I can be just a little bit better tomorrow than I am to today. just another day like the last few, its felt really good to be in a good place with the wife, even if it is only "temporary", i just keep hoping for longer gaps between our bad times. We've been planning and looking at trips for our 10 year anniversary in May. Keep it up everyone and if you trip just get pick yourself back up and keep going forward.

Day 19...still taking a day at a time...after class last night went home and just had a nice relaxing evening by myself...this morning woke up feeling ok and thankful for another chance to continue my current path, good, bad or indifferent...keep pounding!

I don't think I lied yesterday. Felt shock and deep upset at partner's lack of trust of me - for first time? Today speaking with CBT therapist.

The lack of trust is certainly frustrating. Wife calling bullsh1t when I'm telling the truth is completely soul destroying. But if I can reach down and find some empathy, I'm sure she's still completely devastated, angry, sad and lacking her self-esteem. And even frustrated, herself. So, really, gotta suck it up. I know I'm telling the truth, and one day I pray she will see that too.

Day 13, no lies! None! None at all! I'm proud! It has actually been much easier than I though it would be because I just have to face the fact that if I want him and our family back I can't lie! Facing the ultimate ultimatum apparently works for me. Still dealing with the other woman and his friendship with her, but he said he needed someone he could talk to, trust and confide in and I was none of those things for him, so while it hurts he's turned to someone else did he really have a choice??!! obviously I feel betrayal but should I??

Heard Mother Teresa's prayer today. Paraphrase it said... "if you do something good and someone does something bad in return, do good anyway; if you build something big and someone tears it down, build something big anyway...." Our hearts don't lie, we know every time really, when there is a tough decision to be made. Need to get out of my brain and listen to my heart more.

I like that advice Mike, get out of my brain and listen to my heart more because the heart doesn't lie. I wish I would of heard that many many years ago. It's another day people, I hope everyone gets to experience it lie free!!

Day 20...old habits can die hard but determined to kill this one til its DEAD...had an even day yesterday no lying...my mate had a very bad day after losing a family member suddenly and so young last week as they buried her yesterday...kept in touch with her via text to see how her and the fam were doing...and then she texted me after class stating i could come visit, it made me feel great that she wanted me there; still a work in progress, day by day, moment by moment...keep pounding people!

Another great day! Living true blue and authentically! Working on being more giving. Got to watch and keep that ego checked and out of the way. Tomorrow is Friday again! Another commited week.

jrsrbl, I manipulated him by saying I felt regret over what I did even though we already established that that regret was minimal and I made it seem as if things had changed. Anyway, inspired by everyone's stories and check-ins. Thank you for your honest words. Yesterday was a bit better, told a truth to my husband, he took it so wonderfully and with such love and encouragement. Hope to continue today to be truthful and open my heart to him for he loves me unconditionally. Also take the big bite and commit to CBT therapy.

Day 14, no lies. It is getting easier and easier day by day. I know I will never be cured, I know that I will always be a liar and I know that I will always have to watch each and every single thing that I ever say...even think becasue we can lie to ourselves too...but it is getting easier. Not having that cloud of lies hanging over my head is so refreshing. Went to a counselor yesterday...he may help...verdict still out. Having someone to talk to will at the very least be helpful. Husband is having issues with things as they currently stand. He liked maintaining our married relationship, and having this woman as a friend he could talk to, confide in and trust but now he says it is messing with his head. Not sure what our status is, but I am learning to be strong on my own. The biggest thing I am learning is that before I can love anyone else I need to love myself, and it has been a very long time since I have loved myself. Being free of the lies is making loving myself a much easier process.
