i worked out twice yesterday.
I feel heavy and light at the same time.
I always know when I'm lying, and have always asked myself why? After reading "Letting Go" i realize that I lied to control a situation. This may not be the only reason why, but it's a start.
I'm Jenn, i'm working on being truthful
Still taking baby steps, trying to take one day, one hour, one moment at a time. Lying is so second nature to me, it might as well be 1st nature. I catch lies on my lips almost constantly. I'm trying my best to really consider every thing I say, to decide if it is completely true, what my motivations are, and if it is even necessary to speak at all. So, my recovery is beginning to look like a lot of silence.
Seeing my therapist once a week is really helping me work through why I tell lies constantly. Digging back through my childhood is difficult, confronting my Codependency is difficult. I have not been to a CoDA meeting in over a month. I'm going to try to make it to 2 meetings this weekend, because the face to face meetings provide a lot of insight. I did finally see a psychiatrist yesterday. Official diagnosis is general anxiety disorder, complicated by situational depression and one hell of a behavioral disorder (the constant lying). Psychiatrist gave me some medication. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. The side effects scare me, but the benefits out weigh the risks, so I guess I'm willing to try anything once.
My boyfriend has been very supportive this week. We still have not decided on a couples counselor, but we found one to call on Monday. He has been extra affectionate the last two days, which helps me to not feel quite so worthless.
