Day 1 without lying :)

Damn will I lied today so I'm back to zero. Tomorrow I will go the whole day with telling a lie to myself or anyone else. Gotta get this problem under control next therapy session is Monday look forward to it. Doing this for myself to save my relationship with the lady. I'll get a journal entry up tomorrow telling what happened. Anyways just try again I know we can all kick this lying bs out of our lives. Let's go!!

Checking in and wanted to say, "Welcome" to all the new people, we are all in this together and here for one another. No matter what it was that made you seek this group, we are all here for the same goal.

Checking in. I can't keep track of what "day" it is for me because every day is a struggle, and lying to myself counts, so every day is Day Zero. Just trying to live honestly every day.

Yeah, welcome to the newcomers. "Glad to see you here" is an awful thing to say, but I'm glad that we're here in this together. This site has helped me a lot, and I'm hoping it will continue to do so for me, as well as you.

Yay went all day with out lying!!! Plus today the lady told me she loves me and wants me to be honest so we can be together. I'm more determined then ever. Tomorrow I will not lie. Thanks for reading keep your heads up everyone

This is my first post guys. My name is Michael and I continue to tell stupid lies. I hate myself for doing this and knows it only hurts me. I have committed to stopping this behavior pattern. The truth will set you free. So I plan to check in daily with all and confess any sins. Shooting for 90 days in a row!! Agree the lying thing is not just untruths but exaggerations as well. Hi, I am Brad and I am a liar. I have been honest for 2 days. I have been a liar almost all my adult life. It started with my ex-wife. I would lie about little things to avoid fights. Then I would tell her I would work late so I could go out with friends. Then it just got worse. Now I am with this wonderful woman and she is amazing with my son. But I'm losing her because of things in the past I lied about before we got together. Mainly I slept with another woman and her before we were dating. I have been institutionalized in the past for depression and I just want to have a happy life. I don't know why I lie, I fell it's because I am a coward and I don't deal well with conflict. I need help and I hope that maybe doing this and the 12 step program will help me. I don't believe in god and that hasn't done me any good in the 30 years I have been on this planet. Maybe I should try and give myself to him, to a higher power and end this cycle of suffering.

Day 2 for me. I am a liar and will change this behavior pattern. I know the difference between right and wrong. I will continue to ask my spirits to guide me to a whole hearted life embracing truth as the foundation.

3 full days without lying. Tomorrows goal will be 4 days with out lying. Keep it up everyone

Bless us all who didn't lie today. Today I didn't lie, and that feels good. I'm working on not dwelling on the past, or thinking only about the future. I'm in recovery today, and I'm taking it slow and sure today. Action is what helps me right now, and some good recovery reading.

This is day 3 for me. I slipped yesterday with the beginning of a stupid exaggeration. I immediately recognized the path I was headed to but it scared me that I started on that "journey". Today I was will be extra vigilant and honest with myself. I have to change this behavior pattern. The desire is deep inside of me. May all go forth and have the most fabulous day ahead. It is the Wolf Moon tonight.
