Liars Anonymous Community Group
A support group to provide those with a compulsive addiction to lie a place to share hope, strength and courage with others like them; solve our common problem and help others with a compulsion to lie. We aren't alone!
I feed tired but focused. I feel spiritually connected. I haven't been up long and have to get ready for work. I am getting on my own nerves. I feel helpless to do anything about my preteen son who lies constantly, is overly-dramatic, and probably borderline. We no longer have insurance so getting him to a counselor will be tricky. I work in the mental health profession so I know how hard it will be. He's spending a good deal of time out of town with his dad as well so that makes it trickier. I need to do some yoga. I'm hoping we settle into a routine in this new house! And soon.
Everyone have a great day! :D

Today is the end of day 24 without lies.
Sean, one minute at a time, ok? ADD is not the reason for the lies, but I know what a burden it can be. Treat each interaction you have as carefully and as thoughtfully as you can. You can do it.
Stay strong everyone....
0 days clean. I teach mindfulness and yet here I am. I got drunk off my hiney last night too. At least I am more aware these days.
It has been a while since I have posted anything. I have been honest - well I must admit mostly honest as I have slipped a few times. Mostly not dishonest just nondisclosure which my partner reminds me all the time it is the same as lying.
Stay Strong everyone - I will try to do better about posting everyday.
27 and counting. My longest streak yet. I know it will end, because I'm in no way "cured", but I'm going to make every effort to keep it going as long as I possibly can. Support is vital, along with an inner commitment to stop and think before I open my mouth.
Stay strong everyone...
Well, as I predicted, its back to square one for me. I just didnt expect it to happen quite so quickly. A deception is the same as a lie, and a lie of any type is still a lie. I was stupid, I was just plain dumb, and, most importantly, I failed to trust my partner's reaction. Such a stupid thing to do...
Well, today marks the end of day 1 for me.
Alex and Billy, welcome. I hope you find the support and comfort here that will help both of you on your journeys. Please feel free to chat anytime.
Stay strong everyone....
My name is Camiel and I'm a liar. This is my first day here and I hope that I can change. I am so tired of hurting those around me and in turn hurting myself. I look forward to getting to know you all. I am grateful to have found this site. I've felt alone for so long.
Well it is still a daily struggle - I wish I could say it gets easier as the days go by - but it just doesn't. I find myself not saying anything for fear of saying something untrue.
Stay Strong everyone
I have lost track of the number of days it has been since I have told a lie. The nondisclosure is what gets me into trouble - I know it is all the same - but I grew up believing what they didn't know didn't hurt them - my partner disagrees - We have grown closer since I have made a committment to be truthful - I can only hope the bond grows stronger as I continue down this path to honesty - complete honesty. What I going to do to take care of me -I'm not sure - at work right now.
