I just keep trying to put one baby step in front of the other, it's all I can do!
Thanks!

As far as being honest, I've been able to string 4 days together towards being honest with others. It's no cake walk, it's hard, at time it's torturous, and all I can do is watch what I say, think twice before talking, keep my words slow and clear, and just praying to have what comes out of my mouth is honest.
As far as the recent break up between my ex-fiance and myself, I'm slowly doing the best I can to move on! It's still kind of hard to continue to look around at a home just filled with memories of her, and her not being here personally. It's painful at times, but the hardest thing I'm facing and dealing with, is that fact that I'm powerless, powerless to make things right between us, powerless to try and mend the burnt bridge, powerless and realizing that she's never coming back. Just like I'm doing with trying to be honest, I just keep try to put one baby step in front of the other and as best I can, just try to move on!
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Being powerless to change things is difficult for those of us who are used to being able to manipulate and control others. May God grant us the serenity to accept the things we can not change.
It's been a while since I checked in... It's been an up and and down road with my wife. I've not lied to her or anyone in a long time, so in that regard I'm truly happy, however the trust that was broken has proven to be a very hard thing to rebuild. The past few months have been more down than up... The wound I gave my wife was very deep and just not healing.
I've learned to slow down and think before I speak, which has been huge. I've worried less about giving the 'right' answer and more about giving the truthful one. It's not been easy, but I've found that telling the truth is just as addictive as lying... Very empowering also.
Take care all and have a good evening.
To all those struggling to be better today than they were yesterday, I know it's hard and you want to win the fight!
