Had an ultrasound this AM, and will be taking my ovidrel shot today and retrieval set for this Thurs! Sooo excited! I am curious to learn about "pineabpple and core" post transfer. Could someone explain?

So I had my retrieval this morning. We got 14 eggs and I am praying they are all great quality. We got 14 last time too. I feel great the ER took 6 minutes and felt great right when I woke up. Now I'm just bored sitting on the couch with a little soreness when I get up and down.

Aus- yay for trigger! The pineapple thing is supposed to help implantation. And all it is is one fresh pineapple cut in to 5 equal pieces core included and you are supposed to eat 1 piece a day for 5 days after O normally but with ivf I think we eat it after ET.... I have to find that out. Eating the core is kind of tough but that's where the good stuff is (bromelin???) I put it in the blender sometimes and make smoothies.

Angie 222: The FET cycle is 6-7 weeks in duration. It is so foreign to me b/c the IUI and IVF cycles have been so intense.

I am so happy for all of you and your successful ER, etc. Hang in there for the ET and dreaded wait.

OHHH my God I had such rough time with my retrival, first the good news we got 15 eggs and 11 fertilized. Please everybody pray for these babies!!!

On the other had right after my retrival I stared to have severe pain arond my abdomen , by the afternoon I couldn't breath, we ended up at the ER and discover that I had an on going internal bleeding. This was incredible painful but finally I had 2 units of blood transfered.
I was release today from the hospital and I'm going tomorrow to my RE. Actually I talked to him today and he says that if I'm stable by Saturday we can go ahead with the transfer but I'm worry that this was traumatic to my body and it could react to the embryos.

Either way I'll now more tomorrow.

I'm soo glad that everybody is doing sooo good.

and Declinka: I went to accupuncurist 2 times. Once a month ago and then the day after transfer. It certainly cant hurt anything to try it. I would ask RE when they recommend for you to go for optimal results.

Angie: fabulous!! 14 is great! I'm glad all went well and you had a smooth ER.

I am SO nervous! I am going in for a day 3 transfer today. They would not tell me how many of the eggs made it/are good quality. I am scared that this is not great news or they would have waited for a 5 day transfer. Ughhh! Fingers crossed.

Marcela: That is great news about your eggs. Just rest and relax - you will be fine for the transfer. I have heard the transfer is relatively simple.

Marcela- omg. Are you feeling better today? I can't believe that happened! Do they know why that happened? Congrats though on you 15 eggs. Did you get your Fert report?

AFM- still have some pain down there. Getting up and down hurts and peeing does a little too. So I got my Fert report. Out of 14 eggs 10 of them fertilized and 9 are growing well! I hope my little embabies continue to do well...

angie: thats awsome numbers... woo hoo grow embies grow!!! I also had a bit of pain trying to pee, nurse said it was due to the catheter they put in... I didnt realize they put one in for ER. I knew about the one for the transfer. then, when I still had pain a few days after ER, they had me give a urine sample to test for bladder infection... negative, thank goodness.

Hi Girls! Thank you so much for you concern. I'm doing sooooo much better today, just feeling a little tired. I went to see my RE today and my blood levels and ultrasound looked pretty good. We still have the 11 embies, still growing...
I have to see him again on Friday to see how I am doing and we might have the tranfer on Saturday..

AUS2010: Good luck with your retrival, please don't let me story scare you, what happend to me is very rare only about 0.5%, You'll do fine just plan on taking easy on Thursday

I had my transfer today and it went well - I think? They transferred two embryos. The doct said they were great quality - 8 cell. Not sure exactly what that means. I guess the others are still growing and I will find out about them later this week.

It is really such an amazing procedure and it was so neat to be able to watch it all on the big tv screen. We keep looking at the pix of our two embryos :-)

Try not to drink too much water before. I made the mistake of overdoing it and I was in a lot of pain. I had to get up after 20 min of laying down to use the bathroom. I hope I didn't mess anything up!!!

Kldavis: How is your 2ww going? How long did you rest after the transfer?

P.S....My acupuncture friend told me to drink lots of warm decaf tea as it helps with circulation to the uterus. Drink up ladies!

I don't have another sono until Tuesday. Hoping for a 'thick' endometrium of at least 8mm. If that is the case, we will schedule the FET.

Fingerscrossed- Tuesday will be here before you know it girl! Are you eating lots of fatty foods to help your lining? I bought a bunch of avocados and full fat milk today. I think I heard it helps...
