Molly: I know this is easier said then done, but try to stay positive and calm. Nothing is certain until you get blood drawn for the preg test. My girlfriend had heavy cramping and spotting before here 2ww was over, but was given great news for her preg test. She has a healthy 2 year old daughter. Also, you had asked about hatching meds...I was prescribed medrol and doxy to take after ET. I know every clinic had different protocols. Again, my girlfriend did not take any...and it was OK.
Angie: My heart goes out to you. I did a little research on "quality" of embryos and wanted to share this with you to help calm your nerves; further evidence to support Molly's assurance (excerpt from http://www.advancedfertility.com/embryoquality.htm#irregularity):
"Embryo quality as we see it under the microscope in the IVF lab gives us some reasonable ability to predict the chances for pregnancy after the embryo transfer procedure. However, because there are many other contributing factors involved that we can not see or measure, the generalizations about "quality" made from grading embryos are often inaccurate.
We see some cycles fail after transferring 3 perfect looking embryos, and we also see beautiful babies born after transferring only one "low grade" embryo. The true genetic potential of the embryo to continue normal development is impossible to measure accurately with current technology. Hopefully, future advances will give us better insight.
Ultimately, the true test of embryo quality is whether it implants and develops normally and eventually goes home from the hospital with mom and dad. In other words, embryo grading systems are imperfect, and we always need the pregnancy test, and the final pregnancy outcome, to tell us more about "embryo quality" than a microscope could ever reveal."
Praying for the best outcome for you!
Angie: Believe me, I understand what you feel, but Molly and Aus2010 are right. Hopelly they'll keep growing, I mean they already made it to day 5,I think that shows that they are strong. I know is hard but try to stay calm and positive. I'll be praying for you and your babies. Just one question why isn't good that one e,bies was hatching isn't around day 5 or 6 they are suppose to do that? When is you beta? Mine is on Feb.10th. The nurse told me on the 12th but I think 2 days won't hurt anything.
Molly;: I'm sorry that you are having a rough day, I think that comes with the territory the ups and downs but try to stay positive I know the wait doesn't help but is have come along way already. Keeping my fingers cross for you!!!
Marcela: I rested for about 48 hours after my transfer. I did get up to do a few things but I just tried to relax in bed or on the couch as much as possible. Now I am out and about doing my normal routine - just not exercising. The 10th is right around the corner!!!
Angie: I think it is a great sign that your embies made it to day 5. My doct. opted for a day 3 for me b/c they clearly didn't think I would have enough/any for a day 5. A day 5 is a great accomplishment for your embryos. There is a VERY good chance they will pull through for you! I completely understand how it is hard not to get upset though. I am in the same boat with that.
SO, I got the call from my nurse today that we have 1 embryo to freeze - a 4BB. Does anyone know much about this grading system? It confuses me.
Good Luck Ladies!!!
I found this link that explains the blasto grading:
http://www.advancedfertility.com/blastocystimages.htm
Congrats!!! That's a very good blastocyst.
How are you feeling? I don't feel any different which is making me nervous! I wish I had morning sickness or something.
Good luck!
Angie - I was talking to a friend today who had an embryo that was beginning to hatch on her transfer day. It ended up being great and she got pregnant. Try not to worry about your embryos.
How is the 2WW going ladies?
Good Luck....
Marcela- I'm not feeling anything much either. Last time I had every preggo symptom under the sun from the day after pio started. This time nothing not even sore boobs. I did have some slighly painful quick twinges once today and yesterday down there. But that's it.
So what was your progesterone at when you had it checked girls? And what day past transfer. Mine was today 2dp5dt and was 47. I have no clue where it should be but she said it was good.
Marcela- from what I understood through my tears was that it shouldn't be hatching on day 5 because there is still some growing for it to do and its kind of premature. Did you find out about your other embies? I didn't yet.
Kl- how is the 2ww treating you?
Aus- thank you so much for that info. It makes me feel a lot better. I am doing everything I can to help those little beans stick. An avocado a day. Pineapple. Full fat ice cream always followed by something hot like my red raspberry leaf tea. Atleast I know I'm doing all I can. Are you still on bed rest or just taking it easy now? How's your back?
Molly- how are you feeling today girl? Hope better. We really need to learn to take our own advice. Its just so hard what we are going through.
My Beta is on 2/9 can't wait. Who will poas before?
I feel absolutely nothing! I did feel twinges on my right side a few days after transfer but who knows. I could be just playing mind games on myself. It is also hard b/c all the prog pumping through us can also trick us. Ughhh! I am hoping we all get GREAT news! Fingers crossed.
Angie: When is your pregnancy test?
My beta is on FEB 10th, but I will most definitely will Poas on Sunday. I got the test already. I feel like either way itll help to deal with the beta, I feel that need time to prepare .
Been out of town for 2 days. I just caught up on everyone's post!! I hear alot of concerns and doubts.. and I too had these every day for my 2ww. Tomorrow is beta and I want so badly to lead the group with a BFP, but I havent had any symptoms except the ones I think are related to PIO. I have had frequent urniation... like ALOT. But, I dont think this is an early pg symptom?? anyone know??
Someone asked how long I rested: I did bedrest 1dp,couch rest the next 2 days, went shopping 3dp, but in an electric wheelchair. Then took it easy until about 6dp5dt, and then I started not to limit my acitivies too much except not lifting anything over 5 lbs. I go back to work Thurs. At least by then I will know one way or the other.
Angie: as far as my embryo quality, I didnt think mine is great. RE said 2 looked good an the other 2 .. so so. Then, add to the fact that all my others arrested at 5d and never made it to freeze. But, I was all over the boards old and new, and I did find one thing u might find reassuring. most of the BFPs didnt have perfect or even great embryo quality (when mentioned). And alot of ladies currently r doing blast transfers so they too are only transferring 1 to 2. We did 4 because I am old.. and bc this is my 3rd fresh cycle.
Only GOD knows what tomorrow will be like for me and DH. I did go to the alter sunday and prayed at church. I know that if we get a BFP, it will be a true miracle. I think we might have to take out a very expensive loan if this doesnt work.... But I am keeping positive thoughts tonight. Even though I havent had any symptoms, I still remain hopeful. Just keep the faith ladies. Remember u dont have to have any symptoms, most symptoms dont appear unitl 5wks pg.
good luck with your 2ww ladies. I think we are all there, not sure about fingrscrossed.
Hey.. at least we made it this far, right???
baby dust, sticky vibes, and prayers!!!!!
