Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
Let me begin by apologizing to everyone for all of my typos in my posts of late, or maybe always I don't know. I've really been struggling these days with brain fog. And I think by now most everyone knows that I have a brain tumor, well it is giving me trouble. So hopefully you can read around all of my typos and still understand what I am trying to say. Unfortunately my brain does not recognize the error until later and then of course it is to late to correct it. So please bear with me and I will do my best.
Gaye, I know we have not met yet, but I am glad that you are back with us and I look forward to getting to know you. It was nice that your sister was able to visit!
Elizabeth, Sorry to hear that your energy level is so low...is it due to the heat?
Tony, I join the other's and welcome you to DS. This is a great place to be to find friendship and support. I am glad that you found your way here.
Have a good evening everyone! Hugs, Cathy
I have to give a perm this morning which is the most painful service I offer. Oh well...what can I do? My co-worker's last day here was yesterday so I've lost a chunk of income. A new woman will be resnting my other station soon, but needs to build a clientele before she'll be full time.
I'll manage, but I sure wish working could be a little less painful.
Wishing everyone blessings,
Cherry
p.s. If you needa chuckle, read my new exercise post!
It's so nice to see the support we have for each other. I have an appointment with the surgeon today for a check-up on the SCS. It's working great so far.
I hope that everyone has a great day and I'll try to pop in later.
Hugs,
David.
I dont know why I still say that, now that I dont work really weekend's are not a big deal. As A matter of fact when I worked they didnt matter because I worked the weekends it is part of being in the restaurant business.
But it sounds good so I will say it
I am feeling a bit better this morning, went to get a ultra sound yesterday so I am sure the doctor will call today but doesnt that figure just when you are getting answers it doesnt matter because the pain starts to go away.
Gotta go let out the chickens, talk to you all soon
11longyears, I wish I would of saw the stone as I would get it and frame it and title the picture my worst week or two hope it is gone and now I can get back to normal what ever that is.
CW, dont worry about typos I didnt notice any anyways as long as you are here that is all that counts in my book.
I wonder what book that is and where that saying came from:)
Glad to see you here.
My rfa is helping my pain. tomorrow I plan to scooter up and take my disabled daughter to the fair. Hubby fixed my ramp. Am covering it with plastic because rain will destroy it. Hope that doesn't happen!
I hate meds and constipation. Was up every hour on the hour last night in the bathroom for over doing it ...but it beats going to the ER. I so wish I could be like alot of you and be regular. I've tried everything even scripts. I have an awful time. If this rfa works I will drop the dan :) meds! we'll see. Yesterday I took less. There is a pill of relastor in clinical trials that should help us...for opiod users and my doc says it works. Right now it comes in shot form but I can't do that lol
Tipper...I read you are getting a drug pump! Let us know how that goes! does that mean the scs isn't enough or is it more pain because of your fall? We're concerned and know your time is limited but hope to hear from you...how you are doing!
I saw the surgeon today for a follow-up. They took x-rays and the paddle lead in my spine has not moved at all. He raised the level of work restrictions a bit and was very happy with with the progress I've made. I will go back to see him in 5 weeks.
I hope that everyone is doing good and I'm glad to see people sharing freely of themselves to support one another.
I am proud to be a part of this group.
Thanks to All,
David.
@Cherry, I have a couple of different muscle relaxers, I just have to use them more. They make me feel a little draggy, but I'm sure I'll adjust.
@Jaeann, It's so great to see you!!
@ Manny, I hope you're gonna be alright with all this stone stuff??
I woke up this morning to my wife with Rocco in her arms, all excited. He did his first poop outside, and pee-pee. Then we went to Walmart, I brought him out when we came home and he didn't go. 5 minutes later he peed on the kitchen floor. Well he's learning.
I feel decent today. I'm going to try and relax on the couch, my favorite pastime.
I hope that everyone is doing OK.
How about someone just watching coming out today just to say I'm here or whatever you want. We would love to see you.
Hugs to all,
David.
