Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
The weather definitely changes my pain level. We had overcast and rain here, and my neck and upper back knew it. It's like hearing your Grandma say, "Yup, it's gonna rain, I can feel it in my knees."
Church is definitely a place that you have to feel comfortable at. Unfortunately, the majority of churches always have drama. I try to seek out the folks that are there for the right reason.
It's great to see some friends posting here. I enjoy reading them and getting to know ya'll a little better.
I am doing OK today. Fixin' to get ready for work.
I'll be watching on my phone to see if we get some more posts.
You all are great friends.
Hugs,
David.
David, I know what you mean about the weather and how it riles us up! I feel like my Mother, though at almost 85, she's able to do more than I can.
I am in awe of those who can address so many friends personally. My body isn't allowing me to sit and type for any length of time, currently, but I am sending my love and prayers to all of you who are struggling.
No work for me today since I'm trying to cut down on meds...removed my patch yesterday. Every inch of my body is throbbing with pain this morning, but I'm determined to give my poor digestive system a little break.
Wednesday, I see a NP at the clinic I went to for years before making the bad decision to follow a doc when she left. I'd only been seeing her for about a year and thought I'd found a good one...HA!
Anyway...going to be a quiet day for me.
Hugs,
Cherry
I am a mess woke up yesterday and peed and the pain from this stone came back two fold. Now I dont know what is going on thought I passed it and now cant walk hardly again. Guess I will have to go to the doctors after all.

BLESSINGS AND A LOW PAIN DAY
Prayers and hugs,
Cherry
I'm doing ok pain wise this morning, hoping I can make the drive without trouble, its an hour away. I'm way better than I was but the pain levels are more than they were those first few days on the new meds. I call the doctor tomorrow so we'll see if he agrees to increase the dose a bit.
Wishing everyone a low pain day. Hugs and peace,
Lisa
Anyway, I've been hurting in new places lately. I've got fibro along with spinal issues, but this summer my fibro has been rearing its ugly head! All these new places are starting to scream out at me.
I hate fibro!!!! Take care all......Elizabeth
Vicky...I feel the same about you and remember my offer! I am quite serious, girlfriend.
Hugs to all,
Cherry
I had to go back several pages and kind of get caught up on the news here! I feel like I have been missing out on all the fun you guys have been having.
Manny, I had no idea that you were feeling poorly again has it gotten any better?
I. silly me, overdid on my one day adventure to the street fair. It just happened to coincide with it being the hottest day we have had this summer. Well... Drat it my MS has flared...I am numbing up, have blurry vision, and terrible head pain. Just call me bubble lady, frankly I am a disaster. I guess I need a cooling vest, but it seems so silly to have one around here. We Only need them a couple of times a year. I have an appointment to see a neuro. On the 9th so that is a good thing. What a silly goose I am..... My legs are numb, my arms my face...For heavens sake I just went to a steet fair! Sorry to sound so frustrated. But, this is getting ridiculous! I know I should have prepared better for the heat. That was my fault. But, I took water, wore a hat, sunglasses, earplugs, and took my cane I thought I was prepared. On the up side I did really enjoy myself and that has not changed. So as I lay here complaining I know there will be a next time.
I loved reading everyones posts.....And will look forward to doing so again.
David, I hope that work is going well for you and that you are able to take good care of yourself at the same time.
Hugs, Cathy
David...hope your pain level has decreased and work isn't too much too soon. Cuddle that precious puppy and relax!
Manny...news?
Blessings,
Cherry
Of course work is a challenge after this surgery. Even the littlest thing, my body doesn't like. I see my PM Thursday, and the surgeon Friday. We'll talk about my situation.
All in all things are good, I just need to be careful.
I am glad to see everyone posting here. You all mean so much to me, and it's nice to have a save place here.
Hugs to all,
David.
It's gonna be a hot'n. Getting ready to go to work.
I'm getting adjusted to the SCS. I had to turn it off yesterday for a bit and I forgot to turn it back on. I was feeling a different kind of pain and...........duh. So I turned it back on, after being off for two hours. It's working great on the nerve pain, but the muscle pain is obviously still an issue. My wife said I need to talk to the doc about giving me a pill to make me happier when I come home. I must admit, the fatigue does a number on me after working all day.
Well enough about me. I hope you all have a low pain day. I watch this post at work on my phone and it helps me get through the day.
Let's see some more folks posting, it's good for us to share our experiences.
Hugs,
David.
Going to doctor's this morning and I know it will be painful to get up and walk and get there and she only is going to refer me to a urologist in the end and then I will have to make a appt and go through that song and dance and then he will order test and you all get the picture by all that time I would think this kidney stone will pass so why bother I keep on asking myself. Oh yea the pain LOL
HOPE everyone has a good one
