Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
BLESSINGS AND PEACE AND A LOW PAIN DAY
As for myself I made an appointment on July 14 to have another PM Dr. Give me a second opinion. I'm taking a high level of medication (40 MG of OxyContin three times a day and 30 MG of oxycodone every three hours as needed) I'm still not getting much pain relief as my levels are still in the 5 to 6 range.
Take care
Hank
The SCS is working great, but I am out of work this week and next.
I was out of bed at about 3AM, still real bad pain at the incision sites. I have a 4 inch cut on my spine, and a 3 inch cut where the battery is.
My wife and I got out of the house today for a little bit. I am still sore, but I feel great!!
Thanks for all the prayers and good thoughts. I'm back and I feel good enough to say................Let's keep this going. I have had people that don't post a lot wish me well with the surgery and all of you have been a tremendous force. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
David.
This is the news we've been waiting to hear. YAY!
Keep healing,
Cherry
@denise, hope you get the BP under control. and have your kidneys checked. my dad had kidney failure due to lifelong high BP.
as for me i need a massage. i just had to clean a neighbor's apt - elderly guy and it's extra money. a tiny one bedroom and he tells me to sit and rest and i do between each thing! it's not too strenuous, but i didn't take a pain pill before. back and hip are screaming. wish i had a bathtub!!
I slept in the recliner last night, propped up with pillows and I woke up feeling a whole lot better. This past week has been kind of a blur, but I am getting back into it. The folks here are so caring and true people that I consider myself so fortunate to have this support.
Question..............How do you feel about the support here????
Let's do this thing!!!
David.
Also, so glad to hear your surgery went well, know the recovery sometimes seems to drag on forever. Have a friend at work that has the SCS and says it just makes the most wonderful difference in her life. Wishing you a speedy recovery and much needed relief from the pain.
Hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday weekend with as little pain as possible.
I wish I had a recliner. I used to have one and loved it to pieces. I have a chair in my room, but it's not very comfortable, so I bivouac on the floor a lot.
Hope everyone is doing okay today.
Gentle huggggssss to you.
