Here I am finally. I'm usually online doing my groups earlier in the day but spent the morning running around to get bloodwork done. I was supposed to be at the clinic at 8:45 but slept in and missed my appt. When I went in they couldn't work me in so I had to go to the hospital blood lab. I forgot my health card home so had to go back and get it then back to the hospital. While I was on my travels my daughter called and needed a ride to the drug store for otc stuff for grandson as he has a bad cold or allergies or something so I did that in between runs to the hospital. Feels like I've been on a merry-go-round all morning. Luckily after my morning meds kick in its usually my best time of day to get this kind of stuff done. I could actually sit in the car without cringing in pain. I have more errands to run later but I'm getting my son to come with me - he can drive, lift the groceries and generally do everything I shouldn't.

I feel nauseated and in the worst pain.

I had resigned myself that I had to get a new job and I was in mourning over that. I had applied for a new job and I was just feeling crappy this morning and suddenly, my bosses had a change of heart and gave me that big fat raise after all! I was thanked for putting my passion into the company! Finally recognition.

Then someone gave me football tickets and my head is just screaming pain, but Im smiling because Im finally winning.

sorry sad, that sounds exhausting and frustrating, but glad you have it done and have help for the afternoon.
enigma, i'm so sorry about the pain, but very glad that you've gotten appreciation and don't have to go through the hassle of a job search.
i'm doing my best to not stay on the computer too much b/c it pulls my shoulder muscles and to slowly do chores. had to sanitized dish rack, wash dishes, fill water bottles (double filter with the filthy water here), and cleaned my fan. it feels so good to have gotten that much done, so i'm leaning back on the heating pad as i figure out my next move. so many things, but at least i can move and i can see a few results.

I'm back home and done of all my errands. I couldn't have done it without my son. As it is I am in bed, probably for the evening as I can't bear my weight on my feet right now. Laying down its bearable at least so I've taken my afternoon pill and catching up on email and stuff.

I'm biding my time until my appt. with my GP monday then a new pain clinic Wednesday. I'm trying to have the right attitude in place for this new clinic. I've had one disappointment after another with each new treatment I agree to. Running out of ideas.

Somebody out there has to get to the bottom of this and give me back some quality of life. I'm so depressed and exhausted from struggling to keep going with so much pain every day.

I'm forcing myself to start working again because I have no choice. My doctor better not give me hell, either. She could try prescribing something appropriate so I could work with a little less pain!

Just sayin'...and done complaining. Sorry about that. I sound awfully self absorbed tonight and I don't like myself very much when I do that.

regina and cherry and everyone, keep the hope and we'll be with you. i'm so bad with names and changing avi's throws me. i'm so glad that my PM told me to put on 2 patches tonight - still just 24mcg. my kingdom for a comfortable chair to sit back and read! wishing everyone here a peaceful and comfortable night. this is such a great community of people who despite their own pain still offer up support and positivity to others. just makes life so much more bearable.

Thank you for the suggestion, but yes, I've tried Antivert. I was prescribed meclizine which is the generic for antivert.

I WILL say this: I'm taking amoxicillin for an infected gum, and LO! and BEHOLD!!! The vertigo is subsiding. When I went to the ENT and said, "Could it be a middle ear infection?" and he looked at me as though I was crazy...I'd like to say to him, "WHO's the CRAZY one NOW?"

I still say when a person has a "gut" feeling, a doctor should at least humor him/her
