Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
While remembering who you are sing for and why you won't be nervous.
Reminds me when my hubby and I first started going to church we were a bit conscious of our voices...we hadn't heard each other sing! :) But remembering that our sorry voices :) are for God's entertainment and joy...that gives us joy and we sing. Not as good as you I'm sure but we are no longer thinking of how we sound.
That isn't why we are singing. Like the song 'I sing because I'm happy, I sing because I'm free, His eye is on the sparrow, That's the reason why I sing; So....belt it out sister! And if you can, record a song and save it to the computer. I for one would love to hear it. That's one thing I miss most about church is hearing the singing. Let your friends here be blessed by your voice if you have the technology to record it on the pc.
I see your hand. Here's a big hug and I hope you are better soon.
Denise, good to see you again.
SunnyBunny,
I've also sung solos at church, and I agree, just pray about it and let your heart take the wheel. You'll be great.
To all those who are struggling. I leave you tonight and let you know that you all matter.
Hugs,
David.
You guys are too much. What a wonderful group of people.
Sorry we had to come together because of pain. But already I am being blessed by your words.
Goiing to bed now.
Good night
Hope everyone else is sleeping soundly, goodnight all
He was yelling at me in my house drunker than a skunk because I didn't answer the phone when he called. (It was on vibrate from being at the hospital with my brother). I had never been so scared and angry. I was ready to clock him one and I am not a fighter by any means, but it was going to happen any second...Thank the Lord that my husband heard the comotion and came to the rescue. The drunk friend ended up leaving and has been accusing me of avoiding him for the past 3 weeks. He knew my brother was close to death, he didn't even care...he called that an "excuse." He told me that "life doesn't stop for difficulties and doesn't wait for me to come out of my safety zone." All that because he wanted my attention. He justed wanted me to take him to the store and whereever else he wanted to go. My fibro stops me alot from going places. After that horrific episode and the shaking that took place, my fibro went into turbodrive! My body has been so messed up this entire week. Nothing has helped me...My medicine is not working and I have pain in new places....I am angry at this man for what he did to me....His actions scared me to death, I had to time to rationalize and be calm, he basically came in out of the blue and attacked....I had no time to react.
That sounds like a terrible experience. I hope your brother will be alright. Thanks for coming here and sharing what was on your mind. That's what we're here for. Hang in there and I hope things settle down.
@Lisa, I hope you're sleeping.
@SunnyBunny, You got it!!!
Hugs to all.
David.
I don't know if any of you are affecting this way. BUt I just read a study that seems to indicate that the colors and EM energy from computers and screen could possibly keep people from falling asleep.
I know that I come here at night when I can't sleep. Wonder if this is affecting us?
Tomorrow is another day. Hang in there.
David.
My day started at 3:00 am. My street will be blocked by traffic cones by 9:30 this morning for the town's big Summer ceebration. We have a big parade that lasts at least an hour and then music, food and loads of vendors in the park all day. Another band plays in the evening for a dance, also in the beautiful park that's right around the corner from my house.
I've learned that I can't keep my salon open past 9:30 or my clients will be held hostage until after the parade so I have people coming at 7:45 so I can get them out in time.
I used to look forward to this day every year, but not so much anymore. I will be wrecked after 2 labor intensive clients and all the noise and crowds wll be a little too much for me to enjoy like I used to.
If I'm still standing...I'll try to stroll down the street and watch some of the parade...or not. Maybe I'll bring my newest dog, a tiny, rescued Chihuahua with me. I can't handle all 3!
I hope everyone finds some joy today,
Cherry
Sending gentle hugs and warm smiles to anyone who is in need of some. Take care... Gaye... xxx
Have to go to a family reunion this afternoon in a park would be ok but it is supposed to be really hot and me and heat do not do well together. I hope that the beach is not to far away from us but I think it will be far enough to where we have to drive, not a good thing.
I wish I could call it off but I do that to much when it looks like it is going to be hard on me and I really need to push myself
I hope you have fun at your family reunion. I know what you mean about blowing things off. I can usually rationalize things to get myself out of doing things, but I usually regret it. I hope you do OK.
@Gaye,
So nice to see you. You know how I feel about your heart.........awesome.
@Cherry,
I hope you find some joy in your day also.
I feel like my energy level has dropped some. I'm trying to do small things, but I get exhausted quickly. I'm hoping that it's just my manly laziness and when I go back to work I'll be alright. My spine is doing OK where they cut the bone out and I'm hoping by next week I'll be a lot better.
You all mean so much to me and I enjoy the posts that you put up. My door is open if anyone needs to talk.
Please keep posting. Hugs to all who are in need.
Let us hear from you.
David.
Pain is still under decent control, although I haven't been successful reducing the strongest medication (tramadol, which I know is like sugar pills for some of you) below 150mg with any consistency, and it's usually 200mg. Still, that gives me decent flexibility to take more if I'm having a bad but not terrible day.
Hope everyone else is doing well.
