Beating Trich Community Group
You mean that there is a name for IT? Im not weird? Trichotillomania, that big, long word that is the bane of our world. With knowledge and support of others we CAN break free and live without this disorder interfering with our lives. Lets keep this uplifting and supportive and give each other the encouragement the other needs to make it to that next day.

This is Trish Tolamania from trichworld if you don't know (yes, I wrote the alias trying to be funny).
I had one pull free streak last November/December, the longest one I remember having ever. Checking in with this community was such a huge help, in order to achieve that. In February I started pulling again and, after a few lame attempts to slow it down, I gave up altogether and just started pulling again at will.
Now it's July 1, I am 3 days pull free and I just want to take it DAY BY DAY and get involved in this community again! I hadn't logged in for so long, when I did log in last week, I started crying hysterically. Isn't that funny?
My main goal right now is to reach 7 days pull free, then buy myself some really expensive hair product as a reward. But I know my main reward for stopping will just be FEELING GOOD AND NOT HAVING TO WORRY ABOUT IT SO MUCH!

Finally have some good news, today was pull free!! It is always so easy for me to be pull free when i am not using the computer....... pretty pleased with my pf day, I so needed it.
Visiting family this week, then I have to try and sort out my visa, then next Friday I move back in with boyfriend! ! No more shitty internship that I despise with all my being. The end is in sight!! Sept 1 I go back to my old job but with a new position. So I'm in a bit of a better mood this week.
Very good news. A big congrats on the pf day!!
If I just had a job that involved working in a garden all day or working with animals, being pull free would be such a piece of cake. But alas, that's just not the world we live in.
Yesterday I was pull free. Today I really need to finish this piece of work I have been procrastinating for like a month, it is basically the last thing I need to hand in before my nightmare "internship" is over. URRRK!
Yes Sam, moving back to Latin America back to my old job, IT'S GONNA BE SO WEIRD...!! I have pretty mixed feelings about it.... but at this point I guess I just have to get back into therapy and focus on getting better.
I've always dreamed of working with animals. Maybe one day. I just want to play with them though!
I bet the weather is great there.. Focusing on getting better is great :)
Ok can you wet your hair and wrap it up in a towel while you're doing this work? Or at least wear bandaids.
As I learned upon my return to the U.S. from England, it was more like making new steps forward in a place I had visited before, even though I had lived there. It is a new beginning, even in places you knew before, because they have changed, just like you have changed.
Internships are meant to be difficult. However, the strength you gain from this experience is valuable in the workplace, in your normal environment, and you'll feel the difference.
Good for you to look at therapy and focusing on getting better! You're already on the first step! Hurrah!
You are not alone in this!
