I asked a friend about her hair and she said the same thing, short makes it so curly, and it won't layer the way she wants it to, and then she found a hair stylist who has big curly hair, all natural - think beehive hair, and the girl showed her how to do it. She ended up having to shave her head and when it grew back, it came in straight. As she gets it cut now, the curls are starting to show up again.

Hi mid, that's pretty extreme of your friend to shave her head, just it would grow back straight... I'm happy mine is curly, it adds volume :) thanks for your encouragement!

My hair on the back of my head grows in in a very dark brown tone, and it's curly!! On the sides it's blond and straight, and the temples is white and rough ( remindes of goat hair) On the very top of my head I don't know YET!!

Hehe Granit that's ok, I have a bad memory too! I am planning on telling the hairdresser that I have trich, pf almost 7 months, be nice to me I haven't had a haircut in over 10 years etc etc.

I hear that happens to most people, the hair grows back in different colours and textures, but that it will fix itself again with time.

Thaaaaank you! It's rather easy at the moment. Not sure why! Could be that I'm rather busy, working 6 days a week, mostly waitressing and not doing much design work. I have lots of design work to do this week so for sure it will be harder. Ah well.

Congratulations on being pull free for 209 days (because now it's 7/4). Yes, staying busy helps curb the urges. Let freedom ring!

Hehe not quite yet, I'm about 14 hrs ahead of you. But by tomorrow morning I will be! Yay!

ACK I'm SICK, AGAIN! I have an awful cough, and I couldn't get to sleep last night til about 3am, then I woke up at 6am this morning coughing. It's now 7 and I"m thinking I"ll have to call in sick to work, ack. No faaaair!

And BOOOOOO my power will be out from 8:30 til 2:30 today. Oh I'm so whiny but my health and the internet are my FAVOURITES!

Yes, congrats on 209 days! My sister told her hairdresser about her trich. I was quite impressed and shocked when my sister did this, she's not the brave type at ALL. Her hairdresser wasn't weird about it, apparently the hairdresser has met trichsters before. (which is very weird, considering this is in Nebraska, not exactly a place known for its diversity or open-mindedness). The hairdresser even said that once she was on an airplane and sat next to a trichster, who (probably out of a fear of flying) pulled the entire flight.

I still take the approach where I mumble something about stress and too much flat ironing, and hope the hairdresser just shuts up and gets on with it. So hopefully you will stay brave enough to tell your future hairdresser about your trich.

Bravo for showing your bf your hair. That must've been really scary. But now he will have a "before" picture of you so he can compare it to your new 'do when you get it cut in a few weeks. :)
