You mean that there is a name for IT? Im not weird? Trichotillomania, that big, long word that is the bane of our world. With knowledge and support of others we CAN break free and live without this disorder interfering with our lives. Lets keep this uplifting and supportive and give each other the encouragement the other needs to make it to that next day.
Hi, My name is Sam and I'm new to this group. I am 23 and have had trich since I was 12. Over the years I have tried many times to stop, however it's only this past year that I have started to research ways of stopping, and have been really determined to do it. I plan on doing so with a combination of understanding, will-power, exercise, trying the John Kender diet, and seeing a therapist. I love designing, illustrating, cooking, extreme sports, exercising, seeing live music and reading. I would love to provide others with encouragement, and maybe get some support when I fall.

My therapist really knocked some sense into me last Friday about my spending. She said that there are needs and there are wants. She said that there is always going to be cheap stuff to buy, but do I need it? The answer is mostly "no". So today, I am taking back some things that I bought online at Kohl's, namely a 9 x 12 rug and a quilt for my bed. I also bought sheets that I don't need...

I've had pull free days and not so pull free days and pull lite days.
I was pf 2 days ago and very proud, then pf for most of yesterday, but slipped.
Going to try to be pull free today, i can do it.

Alrighty then. Me, my hair is definitely getting thinner is certain areas. This is what happened a few months ago, and I stopped pulling long enough to thicken it up again. Ok so now I need to stop again. Yesterday, pulled about 5, same the day before, same day before. Today, I'm at zero. I must be pull free for the whole day or I will not get pizza tonight!!! A bribe from my lovely boyfriend. It's 2:15pm, I'm wearing bandaids, and I'm going to make it! I have some free time so I'm going to catch up with everyone.

You can do this. Something about the weather is making it hard to keep from rubbing on the scalp, and I can only give you support that you can do this. You can, you can, you can!
With the driving lessons, did you enjoy them? I drove one time in driver's ed class with the instructor using the brakes (there were brakes on the passenger side), and I turned a corner doing 45 mph (I had slowed down already). I didn't fail the class, however, I got to watch movies while the rest of the class did driving. The instructor couldn't figure out how to teach me to drive ... yelling was not successful. Yep, he was a football coach. My classmates have told me he was scared of me since I told him he didn't know what he was doing.

Driving lessons, yes I enjoyed them. It was a one on one situation with a nice patient man. He was a very good teacher, and very calm. I got lucky.. Football coach sounds horrible!!!
