I live in Taiwan. I've been to Malaysia...some parts are lovely, but I really disliked KL. The culture would be very difficult to adapt to for a western woman, I think....extremely patriarchal, at least in some areas. There are so many teaching jobs in Taiwan, though :)

Exciting! I definitely wouldn't want to live somewhere like that (somewhere where the culture is very patriarchal). I struggled in Turkey.

No, I just visited an Istanbul for a week (so not really enough to judge properly). I loved it and hated it simultaneously. I just felt invisible, as I went with my husband, and no one (locals) ever talked to me, just to him. Oh, but I didn't feel invisible when I got stared at because I wasn't completely covered up. I know that's just the culture, but it still made me angry. Taxim in Istanbul was awesome though, a much more "equal" type of culture there, there were even gay clubs :)

Same here! I just bought myself some hair accessories as motivation.....that and barriers at home! How are your possible moving plans going?

Plans going nowhere I think that might be why urges are so bad, just feeling very frustrated in life generally xxx

Uncertainty is so destructive sometimes. Sometimes I find that focusing on things I can control and setting goals helps, depending on the situation of course.

Oh that sucks. Yep, those enduring negative feelings really chip away at the pull free resolve.

Can't believe its been half a year since I logged in here. Where does the time go? It just flies...

Anyway I have BIG news - I am moving to Bucharest in August! Woop woop! So so busy with all the prep.

Pulling wise I haven't been great, not dreadful dreadul but bad enough. Must try and be mindful, stop reaching up etc. Must come here more often and remind myself.
