You mean that there is a name for IT? Im not weird? Trichotillomania, that big, long word that is the bane of our world. With knowledge and support of others we CAN break free and live without this disorder interfering with our lives. Lets keep this uplifting and supportive and give each other the encouragement the other needs to make it to that next day.
You’re marvelous, stunning, awe-inspiring,… !!
or simply like sam said: a true inspiration.
Booooh cold. Booooh moving.
have had a bad day with playing, cos I am snugged up in bed (decided not to work as so full of cold would scare anyone away!!)
hair is looking pretty good now - its in OK condition - and is getting longer.
But 8 months pull-free! Dayyum girl, you are awesome. Keep it up! :)
I wish my hair was pretty - its not though - its in OK condition but just so many layers etc...I am still thinking about haircut etc - although I am thinking of waiting til its chin length (guess by march?) then getting a cutesey bob. xx
I have this terrible mushroom head now as my hair where it has regrown is really thick (I naturally have really thick wavy hair) as when I stopped pulling basically most of the top of my head was bald (except a few strands at the front) I now have 2 main layers of hair (there are other layers within from regrowth etc too) the top layer is short and thick and falls to just above my ears, then the other layer (the underside/back is longer to my shoulders) hence the lovely mushroom effect. Must take a picture and show you guys for the comic effect.
I have got one month to go until my 9 month goal is achieved and then I am looking at aiming for a year.....
was thinking in the shower today as I washed my hair about how when I was pulling and I used to think about stopping I used to calculate how long it would take me to have "normal" hair...now I don't think about that so much, i am just grateful to have hair without bald patches, tbh how it looks is something I don't think about much, I just love knowing that I can run out in the rain and no bald patches will show. And I like the soft feel of touching my head with hair there, instead of the shiny sticky feel of skin.
And I am so aware of how easy it would be to lose it all again, it would only take one slip and maybe it could take months or years to get back to here. So I am clinging on to this pull free with all my heart.
Hair growth is so slow....
that is all.
Me too!
Stupid trich!
You know all the talk we were having about allergies a couple weeks back? well I have cleared mine up but been too scared to dye my hair again now as I think the dye is something I am allergic to. Then I read this this morning http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/2011/nov/28/could-hair-dye-kill-you? scary stuff and last time i dyed my hair I got a lot of swelling of my face.
My whites are soooo white though - I don't want to be mousy!! Am trying my luck with coffee dying them now - will report back x
Wow that’s scary, I wouldn’t dye my hair with that same stuff anymore, or at least for a while…
xx
My hair is in pretty good condition - except one area on the side which as bad split ends and very weak hair. Hoping it will improve.
Thinking about getting a chin length bob when I do pluck up the courage...what do you think? x
