You mean that there is a name for IT? Im not weird? Trichotillomania, that big, long word that is the bane of our world. With knowledge and support of others we CAN break free and live without this disorder interfering with our lives. Lets keep this uplifting and supportive and give each other the encouragement the other needs to make it to that next day.

Hi, I'm Mrs Kolo I am new here and just trying to figure it all out....

I really want to be pull-free the sooner the better its dominated my life for too many years. I want to be free I want to be able to show myself to my husband without feeling ashamed.

just checking in - day 19 I think!

Am playing with my hair too much though - it doesn't help my scalp is itchy. need to focus on hands down!

Yeah it's really hard to keep my hands down. I'm over 4 months pull free and still finding it very hard. Though then again, I'm not trying hard to be hands down just trying hard to be pull free.

Wooooooo 19 days is awesome!! Keep up your amazing work!!

19 days, hurrah! You can do this! I know what you mean about keeping the hands down. I have put my head under the faucet to run cold water over the entire scalp to keep it from itching, and it helps.

well when I came out from the shower today I thought my bad patches were less noticeable - I guess its cos I haven't been making them worse/making fresh patches for a while - its still pretty grim to look at obviously but maybe not as awful as it was .

So looking forward to being normal! Oe day maybe ;0

Have a friend staying this weekend so going to be doing lots of chilling out in the sun drinking wine (hope its sunny and nice where you guys are) xx

Ah yes, the dreaded look in the mirror as we step out of the shower! BLEH!!! I used to avoid this at all costs, I wouldn't look at my hair til it was blow dried and in it's bun, then I'd do some adjustments in front of the mirror. Try not to obsess every day, checking for growth. It took me a while but now I can get out of the shower, look in the mirror and smile :)

Mow! Get all your barriers out if you can. Gloves, hats, showers, inspirational images. Yes it gets REALLY REALLY tough sometimes, but once you get through each little bump in the road, the feeling is amazing. You can do this.
