another laidback and sunny day here - temperature is 24 degrees ad great gardeing weather. am having a shower washing my hair taking my weekly piccie and chilling out.

I need an eye test though - my glasses are broke :( its gonna be like £200 ::(

I have started wearing my hair down around the house - I wouldn't have done that before, still wouldn't out as its a mess but at least I don't have spots to feel consious of!

Mrs. Kolo, being second means that you have a chance to be selected for a position when one comes up. Being late is a hard one to recover from for evaluation, so you did excellent in the interview.
The monthly cycle and the urges due to the changes in the skin are difficult for me as well. It's rough when everything happens in one day like that.
Hurrah for new shorts! It was time for the fav shorts to move on, and let you have new fav shorts.
Being out and about is a good distraction, and gives you different things to focus on.

day 113.

was working yesterday - now just waiting in bed to see if I get a call for today - most calls come in between 7-8.30am if I don't have a call by then i will have a nap as am soooooooo tired! I am so worried about money - I can get by on about 10 days work a month but there hasn't been that much and the holidays suck as no work no pay - the 6 week summer break is 8 days away :( am beginning to think that maybe I can't stay in teaching anymore. There are so few jobs here and they are massively taking away our pensions - not to mention a 2 year pay freeze. Is it so crappy for teachers in other countries?

I don't think it's that crappy for teachers in Australia. There hasn't been much fuss or striking from teachers in aaaaaaages. Pay is pretty decent, I think. I know it will be for my boyfriend at least.

What's a two year pay freeze? If it's what is sounds like, OH MY!?!?!

Aaaalmost 4 months, woo!

Ah things used to be good for teachers here - we used to have loads of aussies and kiwis come over and work here but now they aren't allowed for more than 5 weeks. Pay Freeze is where our pay won't go up for 2 years (usually you go up the scale and also get a small inflation rise). So cost of living is soaring (petrol is the worst cost but food is also really expensive now) and pay is staying the same.

Have just watched the woman from superanny Jo Frost tell parents their child's eyelash pulling is manipulative and attention seeking - how nice!!!!

WHAT? Stupid bitch! That woman needs a punch in the face.
