Ahhh 187 days!

mullet looking awful now though - seems to get worse not better!!!

As the hair on top grows longer, so does the mullet. That is the curse of growing out hair.

I look like Jason Donovan in 1980s neighbours! Still I know its all to the good.

I have chopped my hair (the long bits) again to keep them at shoulder length - now most of my top hair reaches almost to my ears whereas previously my hair lay flat because there just wasn't any apart from the two stringy long bits at the front and the long bits below my ears. So thats hy it looks crazy. The individual hairs are quite thick too so they sort of stand out from my head - I know once they get a bit longer they will weigh don and look better.

Just patience really.

I was going to have haircut by holiday (4 weeks til france yay!) but money situation is dire as have had no work for 3 weeks so will prob postpone haircut til about xmas time - if am good will be 9 moths PF by xmas and 7 months the day before I go on hols. I just can't imagine pulling and yet just over 6 months ago I couln't remember a life without pulling how odd. I did pull out an eyelash last night when I was feeling blue though so I am not cured at all.

Anyway - ramble.....xxxx

I know exactly what you mean, when I found this site I was pulling constantly. I could NOT imagine not pulling. Feels great to be in control. Take THAT trich!

Aargh growing out hair can take forever, it’s so frustrating. But hold on, you’ve done amazing for 6 months, it already looks so much better and it’ll just keep on improving :)

6 months is wonderful. So happy to hear you are doing so well=) So awesome that you are starting to find that you can't even imagine pulling. It is funny how much of a grip it can have on us. But YOU, you are so in control! Wooo

Ohh the mullet. Mine is a distant memory.. I had a mullet for so so many years. I can't wait til you get your haircut, it will make such a difference.

Yep, trich will never leave us. But that's ok. We just have to be on guard. I mean, I thought I was set to be pf til Xmas, but out of nowhere the urges amped up, or my defences lifted.. I think it was my defences. My motivation wavered. Scary. Remain diligent, one day at a time we can do this!! Congrats mrs kolo you are doing so great :) :) :)

Sam remember you had your haircut and went travelling in very short space of time - its going to shake you.

I also can't wait for haircut - although it seems far away. Sam how long was your shortest growth when you got yours and how short did they cut it?

Hm the shortest bit of my hair was probably 4-5 cm honestly I can't really estimate. Dont have a ruler. She cut it into a style that's long at the front ( a bit below chin length) and shorter at the back. With lots of layers. Looks kinda edgy. Short bits at the front too, but that's cos they were short to start with. I can't wait to show you pics. Cos my hair is curly it was easy for those shorter bits to blend in. Go to a good hairdresser and I'm sure they'll do wonders beyond your imagination.

Shorter at the back like to the very top of my neck... Base of my head. And layered all the way up... Argh wish I could upload pics but can't from my iPhone.

My hair is really really thick naturally (you can prob tell that from the photos) so its always been hard to cut and style even before Trich! I reckon the top half of my hair (from the stuff that starts growing above your ears) is about the same length as yours was then - 4-5cm although cos of the thickness of my hair it grows straight up!! The bottom half is about down to my shoulders and there are a couple of bits that are shorter and longer - all a big mess really. LOL. I can't afford a haidresser atm (heck I can hardly afford to eat!) but once/if I get work I will go and get chopped. That could be my job getting present to myself hey!

although its still a big mess my hair looks better than ever, shiny and thick and growth is healthy (still some white ofc but hoping that might reverse soon if not well there are worse things in the world - I dye anyway as my natural colour I used to think of as a nice, rich brown but then a friend described it as "mousy" so that revised my perspective a bit haha!

3 weeks till I go on holiday!! was hoping to get haircut before this but I haven't had enough work this year (only 2 days!) so we are skinted - am pulling my pension fund back so we can eat in november urrgh!!

Am gonna start taking pics again to chart the growth - I stopped after all my bald spots filled in but now I need motivation to watch it grow Can't wait to see yours sam - maybe I'll be able to take it to my hairdresser when I go xx

Eep 3 weeks til holiday!! Exciiiting. I think taking pics again is a great idea, cos even if you don't always notice the growth, we do. Waiting for your haircut is not a bad thing, givingbit more time to go will result in a better cut I'm sure. I dye my hair too, I'm desperately in need of a dye job over here.. Buying a pack soon.

Ooh, going on holiday! Exciting. Hopefully that'll be a nice break from all the stress!

My hair is really thick naturally too, and I'm so happy it's eventually grown in as thick as before. Oh hair, it's like you never left me! :) Mine grows straight up when it's short, too. That's the main reason I want to grow it out, because I always want to pull the sticking-up hairs, and it's impossible to flatten all of them down when it's short.

hehe - yeah I think mine grows straight up until its about 2-3 inches argh!!!

Its looking OK , not great but better. I took some pics the other day will post them soon so you can see x
