Yeah I had a great time.

Feeling good although I accidently pulled a really wiry hair last night - I was tired had hand in hair and it came out (it was tiny and I guess it must be from a very damaged follicle) I must not put my hand in head!!!!!

there is a penrith in cumbria (the lakes) in the UK!! Its like US place names are all UK names e.g. Richmond, New Hampshire, New Jersey LOL!!!

Am having a long debate with myself about whether I should get one of these trendy pixie cut things all te girls seem to have atm - what do you think?

My hair hasn't been longer than a pixie cut since I was 17, and I think pixie cuts are great. I'm convinced they look good on absolutely everyone, and they really show off your eyes and face. They're absolutely stunning, and you'll have random strangers on the street telling you how good you look and that they wish they were brave enough to cut their hair that short.

The only bad thing is that they can be a pain to grow out. You have to live with the awkward, in-between length for a while (see current pictures of Emma Watson). So if long hair is your goal, you might want to consider that. Other than that, I say go for it!

Ah yes the growing out phase! I dont mind too much as my hair seems to grow pretty fast - it is thick and curly though so might be a pain growing out. Ideally I'd like at some point to grow it out into a midlength bob - myabe longer eventually who knows.

I am wondering if all of my hair is long enough to pixify - some bits are pretty short still. And also if I would be brave enough to go to a salon haha - not sure about a home cut!!!

hmmm am a chicken might wait until october - then I will have 7 months PF under my belt and a bit more regrowth - hopefully that will help.

I wouldn't recommend a home cut for a pixie. Home cuts are OK when you want it all more or less the same length, but a pixie is trickier. You can do some between-haircut pixie maintenance yourself, though, like shaving the back of your neck and trimming it in the back and around the ears so it doesn't turn into a mullet.

I wouldn't worry too much about your hair being long enough. Even if some bits are still shorter than you want it, a good hairdresser should be able to blend those in so they aren't obvious. Smoothing it down with some gel or pomade helps blend in the short hairs, too.

Haha I asked my bf too when I was considering a pixie! It's not like we NEED their permission but it's nice to ask.

My hair definitely has some shorter bits, but the hairdresser artfully styled these into the cut. It looks like it's meant to be cut this way!! Go to a good one, it's worth it.
