  Holidays are difficult, so I may come off a little more despondent that I usually like to reveal.I lost Virginia, my wife of 29 years on our anniversary day two years ago.  It was very sudden.  We had no knowledge that she was sick with anything more than a cough, but during a test she passed from complications due to cancer that started in her uterus and spread to her lungs.  It was surreal to say the least.  We walked in one day to get a CT Scan and everything seemed normal, but two days...

  Last Friday I observed what would have been my thirtieth anniversary, but instead, for some reason only God knows, it was the one year anniversary of my wife's passing.  I am not disgruntle over the timing itself, but her absence has been difficult to bear.  I tell people when I am asked, that God gave her the best anniversary gift she could possibly receive...eternity with Him.I am different today than I was a year ago; I guess I shoud say, things are different than they were a year ago.  I...

  Need God's Healing

  It's been two months since Virginia passed.  I thought by now I would be better adjusted.  I think the sense of loss and lonliness has actually increased over time.  I miss her immensly all the time.  I trust God will provide healing.  I am going to my second night of a Griefshare group tonight, but the idea of talking to strangers about things isn't very appealing.Scripture tells us that God heals the brokenhearted.  I am in need of His healing and direction today.
