  in about a month, March 16 will be yet another year without my son. 17 years since he left this earth and he would be 35 now. 18 year olds aren't supposed to die, they barely had a chance to really live. I never really understood the saying "died from a broken heart" ~ but every one of us who have lost a child knows that saying is real. My heart shattered 3/16/03. Next month will be 17 yrs as I said ~ one year shy of how long I had my son here. So much goes through my head this time of year. I...

  One of those song titles that I find a different meaning. I feel like it's the description of my life. I had a tough 2018. Changes at work, more responsibility, feeling overwhelmed, feeling defeated, broken. Feeling I have zero contro of my life.  Working a 13 hour day doing mental health and addictions then come to the house and I'm still doing it. I can't call this home because it's never really been. I feel sad all the time. March 16 was 16 years my Randy Lee physically left this life. I...

  So, Roux an y surgery in October 2012, lost 140lbs BUT I slipped since. Life and work stress sent me binging and i gained 27 lbs back. I'm on the decrease again but I gained it all back in my stomach which isn't where its leaving from but I guess the decreasing numbers should be enough. Does anyone else deal with " head hunger craving"? I get stressed and nothing satisfies me other than food that crunches. Crackers, chips, something that crunches. I'm struggling.

  15 years. Its been 15 years since i heard those words "Randy died". I remember the words,  i remember hearing a scream then dropping to my knees. My heart shattered. I've struggled for weeks with this angelversary. 15 keeps flashing in my head,  eating at me. Randy Lee was 18 yrs old when he passed and now its been 15 yrs. He's been gone almost as long as I had him. That's doesn't seem possible. I do believe we are all on the paths we walk from the events of our life. Good or bad, pot holes...
