Song sung blue ...
One of those song titles that I find a different meaning. I feel like it's the description of my life. I had a tough 2018. Changes at work, more responsibility, feeling overwhelmed, feeling defeated, broken. Feeling I have zero contro of my life. Working a 13 hour day doing mental health and addictions then come to the house and I'm still doing it. I can't call this home because it's never really been. I feel sad all the time. March 16 was 16 years my Randy Lee physically left this life. I miss that kid more than I ever thought possible. My heart aches for him. I know everyone who is on this path can understand that. I last here starting at his photo before I fall asleep. Then those 20 seconds when I wake up when I have remembered all of it yet but then, it always returns. A marriage on paper is sufficatsuf me. There needs to be a line, a clear line that I will never forgive him. Asking me to means he doesn't have a clue of what I am. One person and only one person would I ever allow to break my heart and still love without an ounce of worry. Randy Lee. I didn't always like what he did but I know it was the addiction and not my not my boy. I hate addiction, drugs, it kills people who don't even touch it. Last fall we lost a girl on my team at work to a hidden addiction. Mind you, we work with people with addictions. She had it from everyone. She overdosed and died leaving 5 kids without their mom. I was able at her for a bit because I make it known you can call me anytime. I'm here to help, to pull you up. She never called. Addiction sucks!! I feel so trapped, so boxed in. My anxiety is full blown tonight and I'm rambling. I just find getting the words out helps me. I miss my son ... I miss having a loving relationship ... I miss truth ... I miss me.

Thank goodness we have a place we can come to BE however we are feeling and know that we will be held and received in loving kindness. I feel your longing for your Randy Lee and oh, am I ever with YOU as Douglas IS ever present in my BEing. Those wonderful sons of ours gone far too soon and oh, how they loved their mama's and I know still do.
Addiction is such an insidious disease and it is full of shame. That dear woman you worked with probably thought daily that this would be here day to not use and then the downward spiral began. I'm not sure what makes a person unable to reach out in time of need and I understand full well that you would have been there for her day or night to listen and to care.
May you find your wings and understand that this is how you are feeling in this moment, right now and that it's okay even though it feels horrible. Moving into what IS so that it can BE healed to make room for what would like to come in keeps the energy moving and that is what our feelings are, energy and a consciousness that can be moved, healed and ultimately released. May you find and make one tiny step today that helps you feel not so stuck and trapped. It all BEgins with us and you have many loving sisters of the heart standing beside you letting you know that you are SO worth caring for and that YOU matter!
Hand in hand, Heart to heart with loving kindness to Randy Lee's forever mama from Douglas and me,
XO Joanie
OH sweet friend, I can feel your broken heart and the frustrations of life upon your shoulders. I'm sorry. So very sorry.
I too HATE addiction! It robs us of SOOOOO much! And I'm sorry another beautiful soul left earth life due to this horrid disease. I'm sure she knew she could call....I'm sure she probably wanted to many times. It's hard to know the mind of an addict, but I believe their hearts, their souls, always ache for LIFE.
There is so little we can control. However, one thing we do have control over is our own healing journey. We CAN choose to take the steps necessary toward positive forward motion each and every day. Even if that positive energy is staying in bed taking care of YOU for a day...or two.
Hugging you with my whole heart sweet lady and sending loving energy to your handsome and wonderful son, Randy Lee!
So hard for you...just the (((((tightest of hugs)))))
I am glad you are venting. May you find some measure of peace today in something simple...today I am going to replant some of my
damaged landscape plants from Hurricane Michael (my latest stressor) hoping that it will help me feel some peace and comfort and some sense of normalcy...I hope you can find something that brings you joy today.
Gentle, Gentle care,
Ann
You are so brave to have yourself in the fight of this horrid enemy, addiction. The demons that affect us in this life are truly the devil incarnate. I hope you can feel the hugs coming to you from me and that you find some peace. Randy Lee send your mom some love today. With you in this journey. Kathy xoxox
